Updated forecast for Saturday.....Sunny with a high of 36.  Perfect!!!

It's hard to believe it's only Tuesday.  I have a feeling this is going to be a painfully slow week.

You know I'd be up for some political discussion.  Out of curiousity, what sort of problems arose from these dicussions in the past?

I've got a feeling that a recent article written by one of my teammates in the Northwestern student paper would anger a few thousand miac fans as he made the claim that you are not a christian if you vote for a democrat.  I've tried to put some sense into his head on the issue but his slippery slope is apparently, far too slippery.

I'm actually contemplating coming up to collegeville on saturday to see the johnnies get beat.  Don't think I can really support Bethel, after they spray-painted "B U" at the 50 yard line at Northwestern, and were seen tossing many water balloons onto the field during Northwestern's homecoming game, which stopped the game and nearly caused a forfeit.

Combining Bethel and politics, a friend of mine, austin bleess, who graduated in 3 years from Bethel last may is running for District 11B state house rep.    Good luck Austin!

I'm writing an article that says you are not a football fan if you don't go to Collegeville and cheer for the Johnnies.

And I'm writing an article that says no one who has ever graduated from Long Prairie Grey Eagle High School is as clueless as AO.  Why would Bethel paint the NW field?.... they must have been drunk and forgot the way home.

Didn't know anybody ever actually graduates from LPGE High School....   Figured they just disappear into that creepy Amish community

sju56321, I will have my usual two grills, nothing more, nothing less. I know Veek has one, as does Johnnie Esq. I trust Veek will be in Collegeville Saturday morning. I'm not sure about Johnnie Esq.

In terms of voting, remember, if you live in Carver County, please vote for JOHNNIE RED for county attorney. ;)

Sounds like the re-election party this Friday night could be rocking. Talked to the leader of the bluegrass band, Hillbilly Cadillac, who will be playing. They have made up some special songs for the event. All we need now is a guest appearance by Paris Hilton and life will be perfect. ;D

JR - while I know you know that you have the support of everyone on the board...when was the last time you were actually opposed?

I realize that many of you are into politics, but we've run into problems with political discussions in the past, so let's stick to SJU running rampant on BU, Hamm's, and hot chicks, okay?

Capital idea!

Just start the grills earlier...I am thinking maybe around 7am.

What about ROR's handy-dandy hybrid table/grill?

7:00?  Are you freaking nuts?  Feel free to bring grouper, though.  That stuff rocks.

Johnnies-

If and maybe if BU pulls the upset over the Johnnies on Sat.  Where does that put St. John's for a regional ranking?  If the Johnnies monkey stomp BU, do they get a #1 or #2 seed?  In which region?  Anyone's thoughts?

BTW-I am not saying BU will win, just thinking if they do.

If SJU wins they stay at the #2 West seed, no way to move to #1 unless UWW loses. If SJU loses, then I would think SJU would be the 8th seed, if other teams in the rankings win out.

Johnnie Red: I'll bring along the "big red tent" on Saturday morning as well.  Hoping to bring some Grouper filets up for everyone to devour.  Makes walleye taste like carp...

Why not bring it to his re-election party Friday night, as you RSVPed weeks ago?

What? Is that dead silence from TDT's camp?
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

realistic, believe it or not, I have never had an opponent when I was running for re-election as county attorney. :D When I first ran for the office in `86, I was up against an incumbent woman. I carried every precinct in the county with the exception of the one she lived in. I think I lost that precinct by a narrow margin.

It probably helps that last year was the 100th year that my family has been practicing law in Carver County. My grandfather was county attorney for something like thirty years or more. My dad was a lawyer and judge in Carver County. Nice tradition to keep going. My Badger son is in the process of applying to law school, so hopefully everything will go fine for him.

What is so nice going unopposed is getting to spend every Saturday in the fall watching the Johnnies play football and hosting the Stiftungsfestivities. Life is good.
