Congrats to JR for his reelection.  My SJU roommate was elected to the Hastings city council last night, and he is to be congratulated as well.

Anyone else see that U of South Dakota is likely going D-1, with Augustana (SD) likely to follow, leaving SCSU, UMD and Mankato State without a conference? 

Should be interesting times to watch the D-2 fallout...

realistic, believe it or not, I have never had an opponent when I was running for re-election as county attorney. When I first ran for the office in `86, I was up against an incumbent woman. I carried every precinct in the county with the exception of the one she lived in. I think I lost that precinct by a narrow margin.

It probably helps that last year was the 100th year that my family has been practicing law in Carver County. My grandfather was county attorney for something like thirty years or more. My dad was a lawyer and judge in Carver County. Nice tradition to keep going. My Badger son is in the process of applying to law school, so hopefully everything will go fine for him.

What is so nice going unopposed is getting to spend every Saturday in the fall watching the Johnnies play football and hosting the Stiftungsfestivities. Life is good.

JR - good stuff...I thought it had been a while.  Now that it is Wednesday morning, officially congrats on the win.  Enjoy the festivities this weekend.

Guys;  I was reading some of the Eastern Highlights in Around the Region and came across this unbelievable performance by an upstate NY school called Hamilton... you just can't make these scores up!

Johnnie Esquire;  I think it would be smart for NSIC/NCC to drop all scholarships, improve facilities and create a superpower division III conference ala the WIAC.
