So who's got ESPNews to update the brackets?  I don't because Charter thinks I need to buy another thirty channels on top of the 80 I've already got to get Classic and ESPNews.....   >:( Appreciate any updates as they are announced.  Thanks in advance....

Farley-

You have come to the right place because D3Football.com's own guru Pat Coleman will be on that show & all the brackets will be updated on D3Football.com a little later today.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

ROR, thanks for the Stiftungsfestivities pics. Enjoyed the opportunity for the `gangsta pose. Nice to see Red Hot Bennie present. Given the sunglasses she was wearing, I nominate her for the Paris Hilton award to be presented by the esteemed webmaster at the conclusion of the season.

I'm not even going to try to look back over the last 20 pages that have accumulated on this board since the game, too much work and I'm sure most of it is the same stuff just repeated over and over again.

That said, a few things:

1) Congrats to Bethel and all my former teammates and coaches. I am especially happy for the offense, as much as I at times maligned them, they came out and kicked some a** today. The roadgraders up front did an amazing job, and the time of possession was the reason for the win.

2) Big passing plays by SJU concern me. Nobody can run on Bethel, but if they get into a shootout where the other team is throwing the ball, we could be in trouble. I still think we have an amazing secondary when it comes to talent, but a few breakdowns here and there have me worried. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out before next week.

3) Regarding the logo-stomping incident, let me say that there is no excuse for doing that. That is something a bunch of morons from Miami would do. So in no way do I condone these actions. But let me say this: I've seen  repeated on here several times the mantra "Act like you've been there before". To which my response is, these kids havent. I'm not saying that what they did is ok, but merely that these kids havent been in a situation like this. The last time the Royals won a championship, current Bethel players were in High school, or in the case of the freshmen, junior high. Basically what I'm saying is, they should be celebrating like crazy, but do it with class.

Johnnies, what is classless is you running from the stands before the end of the game like a guy who got caught with the panties of the biggest bennies. At least when we loose we stay and support our team. By the way, I was on your field at the end and the logo just happened to be in the center of the field. No one did or should ever dessimate a teams logo with such a great tradition. Your team is class, but your fans acted classless. Your poster that called for John's retirement should be dragged to midfield and made to clean up the mess. My sincere apologies if I offended your logo without thinking. The game has been over for one day and we have given your classless asshole more than enough time to respond to his 5-5 pathetic BU preseason prediciton.

There is an obvious difference between the fans of BU and the fans of SJU.  Granted SJU has the rat pack, Bethel has the best fans in the MIAC in terms of making noise and creating an atmosphere.  The energy they put into supporting their players is unlike any other in the conference.  I believe the fans just wanted to celebrate and whether it was in the end zone or in the middle of the field (which seems like the most logical place to do it) the demeanor of St. John's fans would not have agreed with either.  Johnnie fans may also take offense to this, but it is my belief the #1 placed inside of the "U" in SJU doesn't do a whole lot for the program in terms of being classy.  An arrogance of sorts as presented on this board also gives credence to this.

I am not saying the Johnnies haven't earned it.  I respect their program greatly and love watching them play, their demeanor, and usually their control of the game.   The Johnnie Magic on Clemens field however caught up with them when Lofboom fumbled in the second quarter and tripped in the third quarter on a magic piece of turf.  The way the predetermined brackets are looking, it appears the Johnnies could end up with a six or seven seed and walk through the bottom half of the bracket while the Royals may get stuck in a top half tussle with the WIAC.  Good Luck to both teams!

Sitting at MSP waiting for our 2 hours + delayed flight ...

Congrats and +k to all the Bethel fans I could find on the last few pages.  Bethel played well and deserved the win.

Was it just my CA thinned blood, the turn in the game, or did it get a lot colder as the day went on?

Even with the loss, seeing everyone at the Stiftungfestitivties is worth the trip.  Thanks to JR and all who brought the wonderful food and brew we all ate and drank.  Wish there had been more reason to hoist the Sierra Nevada "Celebration" ale we brought.

ROR, I'll send you my pics when we get home.

Gimme a break, royalach.  You're contending a losing team's fans must sit and watch when the game has been determined, and if they don't, it is classless?

Uhh..No.

There hasn't been a Johnnie fan on here that has been anything less than complementary of the Royals for their performance during the game yesterday.  But fans leaving a game does not imply classlessness.  While BU has a right to celebrate their victory, and I wouldn't take that away from them, but there is something to be said for acting like a program that deserves respect when it wants respect.  That means not rushing the field and stomping like Miami thugs.  I personally don't care about the SJU logo thing-- but it bothers me because some BU fans seem to believe that alone shows they have "made it".

Let your performance on the field stand for itself, go celebrate with your team and enjoy your victory.  Don't try and make statements about showmanship until you can raise a flag yourself.  Considering SJU's success on the national scale, notwithstanding Bethel's recent success, only Concordia has earned that right in the MIAC.

Couple of things:

I was working and then scouting my deer hunting spot yesterday instead of listening to the game iand it sounds like I made the right call. :-\ :'(

Congrats to Bethel, from reading the write-ups and the play-by-play on here, it sounds like the better team won. There is no way SJU can win when they give up 2 100-yard rushing performances in the same game as well as a 76 yard performance!

When was the last time SJU gave up almost 300 yards rushing (299)???

I don't even have Cable, so I would be more than grateful if someone would post the match-ups as they come, or even just post who Bethel plays and whether or not SJU is in.

The only good thing coming out of yesterday is that based on PC's projections, SJU would play at Central next week, a mere  50 miles from Des Moines, so even if I am on call, I could get to it.

If that is the case, anyone coming down on a low budget who wants a place to crash Friday and/or Saturday night, let me know and I can ask the boss!

Arrogance?  How 'bout plain old stupidity on your part?  Your comment doesn't pose the necessity to respond to however as long as the JEsquire speaks out I must also.  Your folksy fans headed straight to the middle of the fiddle as fast as their little fannies would carry them and then proceeded to carry on.  It takes premeditaion to pull that one off. :(

KR,  I'll post the seeds and schedule as they are announced. By the way, the logo stomping was way out of proportion, and BUdefense is right, the kids just got excited. Did you read your fan asking for John's retirement?   esq. we raise the flag, and we did yesterday.
