OK, hunting's done, at least for a few days...it was a good game to miss, I guess. Congratulations to Bethel on what sounded like a very solid game. You were certainly the better team and deserved the win.

All season I've been struggling with feeling like SJU just didn't have it, but then feeling like a spoiled fan because SJU was undefeated, after all. Kofoed is an enigma to me. I can see that he has much God-given talent, and seems to have the confidence a QB needs, maybe too much. But I can't shake the feeling that he goes out there expecting it to happen, instead of wanting to make it happen. It would not surprise me at all to hear that he doesn't do much in practice. So Alex, quit going along for the ride. Grab the tiller and earn your keep.

Only had time to read back a page or so.
JR- good luck with the trial. Wow, Carver County sure isn't the place it was when Grandpa was in charge. Murder.  ??? People getting tied up in their homes for a few bucks.  ??? Tell Bud he looked good on TV, but he looks better at a tailgate party.

Well now that my playing days are through, i guess becoming a part of post patterns is going to be the way to satisfy my football hunger.

I just want to give my two cents about this past season from a players view.  First, things didn't go they way we expected them to up here in Moorhead, but it was fun none the less, and I look for the Cobbs to come back strong next year.  Second, congrats to Bethel and St. John's on their Co Conf. Title and birth in playoffs.  I wish both teams the best of luck.  Do the MIAC proud!!  I think Bethel got a pretty tough draw palying La X, but anything can happen on any given Saturday.  As for the Johnnies, I think you guys have a very good chance of beating Central.  I say that having played against Iowa teams in the playoffs the last two years, and not being very impressed.  Overall, it was great senior season and one I'll never forget, so good luck to the Royals and Johnnies.  Bring some playoff victories back to MN!!

Just a comment on the St. John's issue. Does everyone forget they have been the #3 ranked team in the country all year? I never heard anyone complain that their ranking was not deserved. I will have to do my homework but what was the highest ranking that Cortland attained this year?

St. John's is still the "co-champion" of the MIAC too. Is Cortland? (More homework)

The auto bid went to Behtel because of the head to head. Are you suggesting the #3 team in the country should get bounced with one loss?

Nobody has mentioned Capital....they were #4 until the loss and they aren't even a co-conference champ and they got in. Was that unfair?

Win the league and (borrowing from the NWC with their permission)

LEAVE NO DOUBT.
 ;)

The night before her wedding, the bride-to-be talked with her mother. "Mom," she said, "I want you to teach me how to make my new husband happy."

The mother took a deep breath and began, "When two people love, honor, and respect each other, love can be a very beautiful thing..."

"I know how to screw, mother," the bride-to-be interrupted. "I want you to teach me how to make lasagna."

Went to Larry the Cable Guy last night in Minneapolis.  Wow!  He puts on a great show.  If you ever have the chance to see him, go for it.  It is definately worth it!  The crowd was full of mullets, camoflauge, and sleeveless flanels.  It was awesome.

My favorite Joke:

Did you ever accidently walk in on your parents having sex?  Well, I did 2 days ago!

That's the last time I ever go on that website!  ;D

I think some of us, Maybe me included, better watch out that we don't sprain our ankles jumping OFF the Band Wagon too soon. Raiderguy has offered some perspective from a distance that we should take to heart. Let's hope the Johnnies can get the Magic back this Saturday in Iowa.

TDT has not yet posted because he just got back to his own abode less than 30 minutes ago. After last night's performance, it'd not surprise me to find he's worshipping the porcelain gods like his Cobber buddy Dinny for the rest of the night.

Good thing for TDT that he wasn't on our flight home.  The pilot apparently turned over to the flight attendants the authority to keep the fasten seat belt light on and the flight attendants kept ordering people not to use the restrooms because they thought we were going to run into turbulence (we didn't).  This on top of being 3 hours late.  A new low for NWA.

What is the O line going to look like next year at CC.  It seems the starting five logged a significant amount of time this year.  Anybody waiting in the wings to fill the slots.  :-[

Wow - crazy weekend in college football.  USC moves up to the #3 spot in the BCS.  I have a feeling if Ohio State loses this weekend, they and Michigan will still be #1 and #2.

Anyways - looking at the brackets, I'll have to piggy back that Bethel got a tough draw the first round compared to the Johnnies.  Not to look past Central, but the WIAC has always been a much more competitive conference that the IIAC.  Its also tough that not even the Royals could get a home game in the first round.

Also - ran into Coach Horan this weekend.  He's obviously disapointed in the way the year turned out, but its pretty optimistic about the Cobbers chances next year.  He's a real intense guy, and I'm guessing he's going to recruit like a absolute mad man this year - look for a strong incoming freshman class in '07.

Otherwise - good luck Johnnies and Royals - make the MIAC proud!
To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Without a doubt Horan has brought some great enthusiasm to Cobberville, and I trust they will rebound to the top echelon of the conference.

Any more talk of him looking at other options, or will he be a lifer like Jake and Blinky?  8)

I think there is a bit of truth to what you are saying, but I've felt the same way as finsleft all year.  This squad just just seems to be missing something that past Johnnie teams have had.

I haven't heard anything.  He just had his 4th child recently.  His family is all up in the Fargo/Moorhead area.  It would have to be a pretty nice offfer for him to leave.  The only one that I could maybe see him taking is if NDSU offers him something - since it wouldn't require a relocation.

Miacwatchman, lets hope not the bottom of their cleats....  I dont expect that.  They play a concordia style of football.  Right at you, no tricks, just smash mouth.  I think the Johnnies are ready for that.  I dont think they have the running talent that BU ran at the Johnnies, and their O line is nowhere near as good.  I know the Johnnies have to beat Central first, but to be honest with you, I am really looking further into Whitworth and Occidental Rosters and stats and style of play right now. SJU rolls in a monkey stomp in Pella.  Central does not have the talent to cover either Lofboom or Gearman.  Each get 2 TDs from Koefed this weekend.  And then onto other things.  BU on the other hand can win this weekend, and I think we will see them up against Whitewater.  Either way, SJU and BU have a good shot at the second round and I would hope one of them can get at least to the Quarterfinals.

Hey not to burst your bubble and I dont want to sound too cocky but dont write off the Central team. They are better than last year (who beat Bethel by the way  ;) ) I definitely disagree with your statement regarding Central's lack of ability to cover the SJU receivers. Brett Doud had 3 picks Saturday(and one returned for a TD last year at Bethel) He has big time play and shut down abilities. The FS and other CB are both Track All Americans and love to hit. Dierks had a pick Saturday as well. (Simpson isnt SJU, I know this) What Im saying is give the Dutch some credit, they have given up 35 points at home this year ( 7 per game) and 14 of those came in blow outs with the 2nd string in. Centrals running game is double threat also, and they passing game is coming around. Ok Ill stop, just do some research and dont look past LaCrosse.

On one last note, I am stoked for the Johnnies to come, should be an epic defensive battle. SJU gives up around 11 pergame, Central gives up 9.9.
