Another one for the lawyers - and animal lovers, I guess - is having sex with a dead deer a crime? Should it be? This guy's lawyer says a dead animal is a carcass, not an animal and therefore his client shouldn't be prosecuted for engaging in relationships with a deer he found on the side of the road. Actually sounds like a decent argument to me...

2.SJU beat Central in Pella by the score of 21-18 in the yr 2000.  Is BU Fan calling for history to repeat itself?

Just gonna go out on a limb here but I think as President of the Classless A$$hole Club I retain power to speak for my membership.  BUDefense and Carl Spackler are by far the two best posters from Bethel.

First off, let me say I feel vindicated. Its not every day I get the Prez behind me. I hope that despite my school preference, people appreciate some insight to the team and not the usual stuff we get from bethel posters about how great they are and all that other sunshine they try to blow up everybody's a** (not all, but most). I do especially enjoy MR's chuck norris facts, although I think they are running out.

Nuggs- I'm not exactly sure what you are getting at. I talk about the team as a former player, meaning I understand a lot of what is going on with the team and am friends with most of the players on it. At the same time, now that I no longer play, I can take a fan's perspective as well, meaning I can CRITICIZE the coaches if I want to. Yea, I think players and coaches do read this, but even if I have said things they might take offense to, I have always rooted for my team, despite my disagreements with certain aspects of the program. I love those guys, dont ever doubt that.

Second of all, when it comes to OJ, I get angry just thinking about how if the trial had been ten years later, it would have been one of the easiest cases in history due to the DNA evidence, which was a new thing back in the mid 90s and nobody quite understood it. Now, with shows like CSI and all the copycats, people understand a lot of the more complicated stuff that investigators fumbled back then. Also, has anyone seen some of the clips of him on the news signing autographs in front of a Buffalo and USC jersey? The Trojans must be freaking out with all the PR he is getting.
His biggest contribution to society was playing Norberg in the "Naked Gun" movies.



Scrubby- Since I'm a new guy, I cant send messages. but to answer your question, the guy on the sidelines with the D is not the defensive coordinator, that is coach Mike Fregeau, who is the linebackers coach and the years prior to this was the D-line coach. The coordinator (Jimmy Miller) is up in the booth. And yes, Frageau is extremely intense. He'll get in your face and wont sugar coat anything if you are playing like s***, which is why all the guys love him. Great coach.

You think people understand DNA evidence by watching CSI and copycats?!?!?!!?!?!?!?  Please tell me you're joking and instead you meant that people know THAT DNA EVIDENCE IS USED IN TRIALS and not necessarily what goes into forensic invesitigations?  As a scientist, those shows are jokes when it comes to what goes into an actual forensic investigation.

Obviously I was speaking in generalities, I was in no way saying that those shows are indicative of the true nature of investigation and trial proceedings. If you thought I was being completely literal, you read way too much into my post. Take it easy champ....Maybe sit the next couple plays out.

Also, the Bill Simmons article is an excellent piece on the trial, I highly recommend that everyone read it. He does a good job pointing out the racial implications of the trial, particularly guaging the reactions of the white and black communities and pointing out how we hadn't come near as far in race relations as we thought we had at the time.

I can see BU and LAX being a good game with a chance that BU could win.  But the chance that BU goes on the road to beat WW.....I am not so sure of that happening.  If BU beats WW, I will convert to Bethelism.
