Congrats to SANTANA on winning the Cy Young Award!

The MVP should be J. Morneau, but just because of stupid sportswrites my bet is that Jeter will win it?  Who is more worthy of the award between these two?

I'd agree with you that Jeter will probably get the nod over Morneau.  When Morneau was on that terror in the middle of the year, he carried the team on offense and his defense wasn't too shabby either.  Take him out of the lineup and they probably wouldn't have made the run they did.  When he got cold at the end of the year, the team did as well.  In that high priced Yankee lineup there are plenty of offense players that could have taken Jeter's place, and it helped that the rest of the division choked and gave it up to the Yankees.  Too many reasons that that I know of since I followed the Twins all year and know what Morneau's meant to the Twins that the stats won't show so the sportswriters will pick the player thats always in the limelight.   My favorite Morneau moment was him hitting that game winning homer off Zumea, 101 MPH fastball at eye level, how'd he do that?

When are you getting there?

Anyone staying in or around Des Moines Friday night? If so, and I don't have it already, PM me your cell #.

Mighty,
I want to be wrong and I hope I am.  I just think BU got the tougher road by beating SJU.  But like I told my grandson yesterday, you have to beat them all to get to the big show.  He's one game away from doing that next week.  LX and WW just play in a tougher league, top to bottom.  A coach at the dome today told me that the league that LX and WW are from have a red shirt year, is this true? Not that it really matters, but I was suprised to hear that.  Either way, I'd like to see BU go off on LX and SJU on Central, which I think SJU has a better chance than BU.  It would be fun to see a re-match of last Saturday's game, but I don't think it's going to happen.  Best of luck to both teams.

BUDefense,
Thanks for the info!  I was just agreeing with you that I thought the BU's D Coord. coach should be given congrats on a great year.  I was very impressed on how well prepared they were each week.  I saw 4 games total this year and they seem to play well each week.

Sorry Wonka if this upsets you again, I just say it the way I see it.

(isn't. Is disappointed)

I'm disappointed too!

I was hoping to finally meet the mythical K-mack.
Met PC and RC in '03, but still no K-mack... the wait continues :-\
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Glencoe beats Litch...Hawley is really bad....Tech is even worse, or EP is that good. It would've been a nice day to watch football outside today though.

I'll post a five question interview I had with Bethel's quarterbacks coach tomorrow. We just got a new website at the Leader and the stories aren't on there anymore.

PS
Anne Hutchinson wears not hot pants. Plus she wears way too much makeup. I will also post a picture of this tomorrow.

I have.  ::) 'Course I'm already out west, so technically I've bought them going south (Go Oxy!).  The Zags have bought all the cheap tickets in and out of Spokane from here.

Tmerts: Just outta curiousity, is #2 son on the travel squad most of the time this season?...My sources tell me that Spokane is also VERY VERY costly to fly to from the Twin Cities next week.  Would be a much nicer road trip for most to go to Southern California...
