Great win today for the Johnnies.  From the radio broadcast it appeared as if they were in control throughout the game.  This was a nice 180 degree turn from the way they played last week.  I'll be in Spokane for next week's tilt.  Who else will be making the journey?

Congrats to Bethel for playing one hell of a game today.  If Porta would have played it would have had to make a difference.  Too bad he had to end his career with an injury.

Time to get ready to take out another NWC foe.  GO Big Red!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Same day charter flight to Spokane is $309.  Not too bad of a price.  Anyone who is interested can call Hobbit Travel Monday morning at 612-252-7511.

Duff, TDT, Dusty, JR, and Fins - are any of you planning on going?
Go Johnnies!!!

How 'bout those Dutch letters? ;D
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Nice Job today SJU!!   I figured they would win, better match up than if they had to play LX.

BU, you really suprised me.  I, along with my son in law took off early this a.m. and we had a great time at your game!  I thought after the first two drives by LX, you had no chance.  It was what I'd figured it be with the size mis-match, etc.  You came out in the 2nd Qrt and just shut down the run.  I was very impressed with the play of the front 3 and your 4 linebackers.  I happen to be sitting next to the Carr family when their one son went out.  Lossing him really hurt your secondary.  Then I was told you lost another strong safety, is that correct??  Either way, I thought the BU defense played well after those two first series.  Offense, you guys were awesome again today.  A few to many mistakes in the end.

I mentioned earlier in the week that I thought the #2 Carr boy was something special, he was again today!  It was really to bad that the Porta kid didn't play today.  I really think it would have been a different game with him in there.  Hey, congrats to LX for playing well and beating a classy bunch of BU guys!

Back to civilization.  The more things change the more they stay the same.  Ho hum, Bethel loses again in the playoffs and have excuses.  Johnnies trounce a very skilled and previously undefeated Central team with a solid all around performance.

Veek: I'll call you tomorrow.  So far Dusty SJU and wife are in.  Tmerton take off the panties and make it happen.  The J's don't come to the West Coast very often...

TDT is extremely exhausted and now needs to sleep.  I will post more tomorrow.  Cell phone being turned off for precautionary reasons *wonka*....

Check out the awesome photo of Luberts on the home page of d3 football.

Aww, thanks ROR! Did you get my Pic-message on your phone? I have a D3football.com seat assignment tag for you!

More of them in the photo gallery. Now everyone turn your browsers to page 15. :) Or 14? I can't remember. I got up at 445 this morning, started driving at 530. Got a ticket at 7:45... got to Pella at 10:15 or something... left Pella around 5:30... got to the cities around 9... home around 10:15... edited the photos and put them online around 1am... started to handle stringer photographers at 2am... Oh we had 9 games covered today.

JR, thanks for the tailgate. Best $5 burger I have ever eaten!
RaiderGuy, I have a question for you. If I ever return to sanity I will send you a message but if you beat me to it, great!
TDT and KR.... that was you guys?! Hmm. Thanks for introducing yourselves as people I would actually know!  ;)

Anywho, back to the job. Gonna try to wrap this up in the next 2 hours so I can avoid the dreaded "all nighter" classification.

Once again I would like to thank Johnnie Red for a fantastic tailgate party. The traveling tailgate party will next stop in Spokane! If there is a way for the Food Network or Twin Cities "Foodie" Andrew Zimmern(sp?)  to do a story on Johnnie Red's efforts for SJU football every week during the football season, that would be great!

Thanks to Dusty SJU & TDT for the road trip- always good times & great converstions about, as Denny Green puts it, "Faith,Family & Football" ;D

Thanks to Kilted Rat for always making me laugh.
A highlight of several great one-liners & conversations with KR.
Telephone call to Finsleft before kick off-  as Fins is in the deer stand
KR:- Yea, got an update for ya... Monkey Stomp
Fins: (on cell phone in woods)- Really, good going
KR: Yea, TDT & me Monkey stomped a 12 pack of Hamms at the tailgate party!
Fins: :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D

Nice to meet DutchFan 1 and the father of Central QB, nice conversations in the tailgate parking lot prior to the game and to visit with Ryan J. Coleman D3 Sports & Indy Racing League driver of the year ;)

Nice to see all the Johnnie supporters at the tailgate party and at the game, young & old what a great and fun bunch of people. It is very nice when the team travels 350+ miles from home & has almost as many fans in the seats as the hometown team. It's also nice because when Dusty SJU tells everyone to "Get off your ass & cheer" you only need to tell them once! A very loud & proud Johnnie fan base in Pella.

Now on to football: I liked what I saw (except the last defensive stand in the "prevent defense".)
A nice mix of pass and run with a little bit of trick formations to keep other future coaching staffs up all night game planning  ;D The BRJ pass play to Kofoed was a play I haven't seen in at the past couple of years, but John has a way to keep things "interesting" during the play-offs

Now on to the Left Coast to play the Whitworth Pirates- I don't know how far this Johnnie team can go, but I do know that every additional game they get this year will be a valuable buiding blocks of success for next season with this young squad.

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

RT checking in from the Liberty League....and what does he see?? SJU fans keeping it real...the Monkey Stomp lives in Collegeville!!!! Glad we could give the gift that keeps on giving!!! lol...

Anyway, RT will be pulling for the Johnnies now that RPI closed out their season with a good win in the NIT of college football, the ECAC playoffs. We'll be back next year and hopefully can rekindle a run to face you guys.

Hey...how about teeing up a home & home series w/ the administration of SJU and RPI?? That would be a blast.

What's the outlook this week?? Will there be Stiftungtenfest (sp?) burgers going? Where's One Armed Scot?? Where's Red Hot Bennie????

Go Johnnies.....love from the LL

Have you folks noticed that when your team improves from 1-9 to 5-5 that you get bragging rights. A 'pioneer' D3 guru can really talk smack. The Johnnies have won more post season games than his team has won in the last 10 years. I'm glad we finally got somebody posting who is smarter than all the rest of us plus PC combined. When your team never gets to the dance , I guess that's all there is but first he should go to the LL board and take lessons from the experts.

Go Johnnies  :D

Hey TDT, here is reality...  the only reason you advance is due to the fact you drew the only team you could possibly beat.  BU gets hosed on the the road draw and you and everybody else knows it.  They played a team that will absolutely kick your teams ass, as your team is just not physical enough.  Talk about Carleton all you want, we physically kicked your teams sorry ass all the way up and down the football field, and we would have done it again given the chance. Reality is BU will be back next year to shut your hole again, and I didnt hear any BU excuses, they lost, they went home, and played one hell of a game against a Big and strong La Crosse team. Reality is, wether you win or lose next week, we are one week closer to not hearing from you for another year...  To all the other Johnnie posters, you guys are at least fair in your analysis of MIAC football, where your poster child has one take every week.  And while your trying to order your DVD of the perfect season TDT, just put your little red chair by the front door of your trailer, and make sure to address is to Blue Boy...  cause it ain't coming this year...

Senor RedTackle

now that our candidates are all either done for the season or have all been defeated,

...the Liberty League officially endorse St.John's as the team out of the West that we'd like to see advance....

I thought you were done posting?  I respect your hatred of TDT, but I would venture to say that you're the TDT of Bethel.
