And this is why Paris would fit in so well at a Stiftungfestivities:

Paris Hilton shocked revelers at a Las Vegas nightclub when she got up to perform but ended up vomiting on stage instead. Singer Joshua Radin was among the guests who went to a nightclub to hear rapper Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter perform and found himself sitting next to the socialite-turned-singer. Radin writes on his MySpace page, "Paris Hilton was sitting next to me the whole night. Seriously, next to me, like our legs were touching for a good five hours. Now don't get the wrong idea. She never once said hello, nor even looked in my direction. Five hours. And it was unreal to watch. She must have pulled a compact out of her bag every six minutes to stare at herself and pose while Jay-Z was performing eighteen inches from us." Radin writes that when Jay-Z left the stage, "Paris, who had been swilling straight vodka from (a) Grey Goose bottle for hours, gets up on stage, has the people in charge throw her 'record' on the house stereo for her to lip sync two of her songs. She gets up on the stage, pukes, leaves..." Radin adds, "I find the music business charming."

TM, You wouldn't by chance be headed to the Coliseum Saturday night would you???

I had things set up for a trip down there if Oxy hadn't taken the tailpipe against Woolworth.  But with that out the window we'll be home.  However, #1 son (ND '03) will be there so the family will be represented.

BTW, Oxy sucks.  Weather in Spokane on Sat: rain/snow, low 30s.  Weather in LA on Sat: sunny and 70s.   Did I say Oxy sucks?  :P

Ah T . . . the boys did their best . . . just a heartbreaker . . . tell you what, just come on down and I'll spring for a beer or two at the 35'er, Barney's, Burger Continental or wherever else your Pasadena roots demand.

And if if the Johnnies defeat the 'Rats, I'll become a St. Johns fan for a week or two as well.

cheers and happy turkey day,

Seeing a shopping center on the itinerary reminds me of when Whitworth came here they flew in on Friday and stayed somewhere in St. Paul.

They spent their free time on Friday at the the Mall of freakin' America.  :D

Three hours at the Spokane mall? Maybe I should bring some vodka and Jag too! ;D

Looks like I'm going shopping.  My Spokane buddy will be in Seattle for the weekend.

Bennie, how about a keg of some good Portand beer?  There are so many to chose from.  MacTarnahan's Amber Ale is one of my favorites. :)

Reminiscing last night brought forth a memory of a trip a few years ago.

It was Thanksgiving of 2000.  We were in Seattle to play PLU.  Where else do you take a football team for Thanksgiving dinner when you're away from home but...Old Country Buffet!  I think we stood in line nearly an hour to get that scrumptious meal, which I will never forget :D

Wooderson, wouldn't you agree that that was a fantastic excursion???

I hope everyone has a great Turkey Day!

How could I forget?  I also remember one of the busses got a speeding ticket on the way there!

Meals at OCB, accommodations at the King Oscar Motel and an OT victory over PLU in a downpour...Doesn't get much better than that!

My brother got food poisoning at that OCB and spent the evening at the hospital.  He has great memories of that trip....

You guys had that game - Woolworth with a 3rd and 13 with less than a minute - and all of a sudden a 40 yard pass to inside the 5 yard line.  Still, I guess I shouldn't be so hard on Oxy - you guys have to put up with dawg gone it for 3 more years.  :P

One begins to suspect that the malls pay a kickback to the travel agencies.  That's a pretty silly situation.

Actually, I believe he got food posioning from eating something bad while we were exploring Pike's Market.  We were all quite worried about him, though!

At this time of year, it is time to reflect on all that we are thankful for. I am thankful for this MIACPP board. When my "other" life starts to seem like it can't get any crazier, I can always turn to my computer and tune in to this dysfunction. It helps my perspective.
Happy Thanksgiving and +K to all.  :-*
