Same thing happened for me - went through registration, declined to pay the $7, then went to the front page of the paper and went straight to the article.

Is it worth the effort?

OJ93, check your email.

ROR - Please don't call anyone "OJ" :P  (unless it's the twerp from Woolworth  ;))

I should have known you'd pick up on that.   ;D

Wow!!!

Nobody told me that TDT was the Bell Ringer for Texas Tech:

TDT Rings his bell during Texas Tech Game

Did you see the smile on that dude's face?  Are you sure he is ringing the bell?

An early Happy Thanksgiving to all DIII football fans!!!

The J's had better win on Saturday or it will be an awfully long 4 1/2 hours at the Spokane Mall.

What happened to our charters where the plane landed and stayed there until we returned for our flight home?  We could easily be home 5 or six hours sooner on Saturday.  I'm just happy that ROR and TDT are buying drinks at the Mall.  That will make the time go by faster.

This may be the last time that a SJU charter will have such a long layover.  My guess is that after dealing with a drunken Johnnie in a pink sweater there will be no future layovers.
Go Johnnies!!!

Same thing happened to me - somewhat of a hassle but definitely worth it.
I liked the line about all great coaches run into hard times except Rockne....
Didn't know John beat the Zags when he was at Carrol.

I can't believe the weekend itinerary doesn't include a tour of Itron world headquarters in Spokane, your number one source for automated meter-reader technology (as the son of an Itron, Waseca, employee, I feel obligated to give them a plug.

Thanks for that.  I feel guilty that I didn't take the effort to register, but you took the effort to mail it.  It was well written, I thought, and even had a Gagliardi one liner(ish) I hadn't heard before.  At the end about playing for a coach with a record that will never be broken.

OzJohnnie

For the curious, I'll post the quote about the record:

"The only time I've ever talked about the record [career wins]," [Gagliardi] said, "was when one of my coaches was telling a recruit, 'You're going to play for a coach who set a record that's never going to be broken.'"

"After the kid left, I said, 'Don't you think we'll ever win another game?' "

Hey good jokes today. Looks like folks are getting a little frisky, like it's Friday or something. Love the tales from down under, Oz. Keep 'em coming.
Just got back from the store picking up the ingredients for my soon to be famous sweet potato casserole. The checkout kid is a kid that I coached in baseball some years ago and he starts chatting with the lady in line ahead of me about Thanksgiving plans. She says something about it being especially hectic this year since Friday they're flying to Washington to watch her son play some team called Whitworth. I couldn't help jumping in and telling her that SJU will crush Whitworthless. So as the line slowly builds behind us I learn she's Ryan Wimmer's mom and she says how she heard I go to all the games and tailgate with Sue's (couldn't remember her last name and Sue doesn't go to the games)husband. Nothing like the Stiftungsfestivities to make you famous in your home town!

The Wimmers aren't taking the charter on Sat?  They must want to spend more time in Spokane to get in some extra shopping at the Spokane mall.

BTW, shades will not be needed in Spokane on Saturday - but will be needed down south here.  8)

Sitting outside a Barnes and Noble...I guess my parents' neighbor and her unsecured internet is gone.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Some football, some football and some of KFC's famous cole slaw, sounds great.

JR-
I'll be at the Dome covering G-SL and Becker. I'll say Becker by 14.

Ahhhh, bandwidth thievery.  It's one of those things that almost deserves to be stolen.

One of my neighbors has an unsecured wireless setup - I've been templed to start bit torrents, but have resisted.  I tried to name mine 'CrackThisEncryptionIfYouCanSuckers' but I wasn't allowed that many characters.

5 months in our current apartment with excellent internet service and it hasn't cost me a dime :)

Funny thing is the local internet company sends me fliers advertising their internet service on a weekly basis. I should call them and ask them to stop sending them because I already know how fast their internet service is, even when you're 2 apartments away from the wireless router :o
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

WC11- great find. The thing about TDT is that once he finds something he REALLY enjoys he practices until he becomes the VERY BEST. He doesn't care where he is,if it's time to practice,it's time to practice. He is very dedicated like that! :o
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
