ROR, JR, TDT, or anyone else flying on the charter - do you have any idea if we will be able to leave items on the bus during the game and our wonderful trip to the mall?  If we have to carry everything with us I will leave some items behind but if we can leave a duffle on the bus I'll pack more besides just a case of Hamms.

See you in a few hours.  GO JOHNNIES!!!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Gee, KR, no one could tell you'd been drinking. Here's some k for your hangover.
We got our share of alcohol yesterday, too.

Those of you coming out for the game tomorrow better dress in your Minnesota clothes, as it's going to be cold

Been on a hunting trip for a week, have I missed anything important on the board?

What's the report on Whitworth?  Good?  Beatable?

I will try to post my pic of my buck.

Please post it either in the next 15 min or not until tomorrow. I'll be in MN away from computers today and tomorrow and as fast as this board tends to move on game days, I don't wanna miss seeing it!

My family came out to Des Moines for Turkey day, but since they weren't gonna get here until Thursday about 2PM, we did Thanksgiving cooking/drinking on Thursday. Fun times!

I am pretty sure I meant to say shooting a gun right next to my head... of all people, Frank, you should be the last one harassing anyone about their drunken posts! ;D

BDB,
I'm gonna congratulate you early on post 1000 since it will probably happen while I'm at the wedding tonight or pheasant huntin' tomorrow.

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Since I've become the self-proclaimed king of drunken posts, doesn't that give me free reign on railing others for the quality of their drunken posts?

Yeah, I saw the Strib on Thursday and told my old man that SJU's next QB just made 3rd team All-Metro.  He thought I was crazy...

I wonder if he would start as a 1st Year. Would they use someone else as a bridge (Crees for 1 year, Hansel for 2 years, etc.) or would SJU go straight from Kofoed to Grant as 4 year starters at QB?  I would have to think it would be the first time in school history that that happened.

(OK, that's all the two-years-into-the-future speculation I can muster for a D3 football team.  I tried.)

***

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well on Thursday.  I have Thanksgiving II today with the other side of the family.  I'm not entirely sure how long I'm going to be able to spend in the folks' computer room listening and typing, but if nothing else I'll be checking in often for updates.

***

I feel a lot more confident about today's game than I did last weekend.  I thought Central would be a close game (and if they played half as poorly as they did against Bethel, a loss).  It certainly didn't sound like the game was that close over the radio, and I think Whitworth is comparable, if not inferior, to Central.  If the Bethel game really was a wakeup call and the team continues to exectute like they did last week this might be a Johnnie blowout.

Then again, it's a long trip, the weather sounds aggressively crappy, and apparently Antonio Gates is starting at TE for Whitworthless today.  When people on the NWC board talk about that TE I keep thinking of Seth Schussler.  He was awesome.

***

I was telling a friend that I guessed the Johnnies had a 60% chance today, 10% chance against a Wisconsin team in the next round, and 40% chance in the national semis.  That would give them a 2.4% chance of getting to the Stagg Bowl.

I know it's idle speculation, but how far off do you think I am?

I hope they make it out to Whitewater next weekend, but I REALLY hope they make it to LaCrosse next weekend.  Unfortunately, Whitewater is looking MUC-esque again this year.

[/quote]If they get that far - 2.4% chance against MUC is quite a bit better than anyone gave them in '03. Of course we don't have the Elliott factor.  :o

Alright, let's get this party started!
Gotta make a quick run to Fleet Farm, Sam's and Best Buy. Hope all the crazies got it out of their systems yesterday so I have clear sailing.
Then, multi-tasker that I am, I figure the whit in my garage* will be all cleaned up by the time the Johnnies get done with Sh!tworth.
