Duffman,

Love your signature.

Where did you find a geek to create that for you?   ;)

For the right price, I can create a custom signature for you, too ;)

Finsleft will you be FINALLY joining the traveling party this week. Tmerton? Ritzy?
Thanks your President
As much as it hurt to miss the Spokane mall/airport experience, it pains me to respond with my regrets to the Janesville/Whitewiffer party. I just feel it would be irresponsible of me to shirk my responsibilities as a provider to miss the spearing opener on Lake Kabetogama and have the little fins going hungry.
Saw announcer Mark Lebowski at the hardware store today and he said he'll talk REAL LOUD so I can hear him way up there. Asked him what the final score was as I passed out in the garage after Carbo "swaggered" me into a stupor. Looks like Wooderson gets the free trip to Wishywashy.
Congrats BDB!
Nice buck, Cob-nat.

Something tells me the barrister is on parole and is confined to his ankle bracelet and a few counties around the Stears area....  :-X

Nice one, Dusty! But the thrill of risking my life on 3 inch ice for the chance at the 20 lb. Northern is one that can't be topped, even by Johnnie football. Can't think of another thing that would fit that category.

I'm with BDBob. No Busch Light. I mean really. You're not in high school anymore.

BTW, SJU plays an error-free game and wins it going away, 24-13.

I got it, lets skip the football game Saturday, and all go watch BDB jr. play hockey!!!

ROR, when are we gonna get to see some tailgating photos?

Duffman, no tailgating photos.  We really had no time to tailgate.  The buses dropped us off fairly late.  As far as I know the only real tailgating that took place was Bennie, Dusty, TdT and Veek drinking Hamms from Bennie's trunk at half time.  I was stuck in the outhouse line with Mrs. John Tesh and never made it to the Hamms.

I do have some nice pictures of Johnny Irish and his son Mitch.

I'll make up for it next week.

BDB,

Do you know a good place to gas up on the way from Minnesota to Whitewater? :D

BTW, those mugs are the official beer container of Johnnie tailgating.  I can't count the number of photos I have of those things being raised.  I suspect I will have a few more after this weekend.

ROR, I see them and laugh every time!

If Todd comes down I'll have him bring another case of mugs for resupply.  ;D

But TDT, no Busch Light!  :D

+k's all around for hitting the 1000. I'm dishing 'em out like they are free.  ;)

BDB, if Todd can't make it I could probably stop in Menomonie and pick them up.  I would also be sure to enforce the "No Busch Light in Bob and Steve's Mugs" rule.

What about Zima? ::)

TDT-

Great post about your playoff game experiences. That reminded me of the time when I went to Bethel's second round game agai.........oh, wait.

Nevermind.

When TDT thought I was "sucking up" to the Johnnies by rooting them on in the playoffs he was pretty far off, but if he said that about BUDefense I think he would be dead on.

Joking about the team is one thing, being downright opposed to them is another and I think, personally, you flirt with that line.

BUDefense cares more about karma than backin' his team!

Mighty Royal

Personally, I dont hate the Johnnies. Do I root for them? No, not in any MIAC game. In the playoffs they represent our conference, so I that is the exception. I respect them because year in year out they win conference titles (this year being an exception obviously).

I dont hate the Johnnies. That I save for those a**holes down at St. Thomas :)

And as far as karma goes, I dont even know what that is. I dont know how to give it, nor do I care if I recieve it. I never root against Bethel, and i always hope for the best for the program, but I see nothing wrong with my joke, it was like changeup down the middle of the plate, it had to be hit.

For a game of the century to be the Game of the Century...u need to have a winner so therefore I pick the Nebraska win over Miami in the Orange Bowl to give Dr. Tom Osborne his first National Championship...

By the way...maybe the word of the week should be Beaver...of course that would lead to many drunkin Johnnie fans...

Touchdown Tommy

BUDef: Oh contrare.  The J's DID win a conference title this season...Big thanks to Carleton

I do love that one, as it wiped away some of the bad taste left over from the loss in the 1984 Orange Bowl against Miami in which Osborne went for 2 and didn't get it. (speaking of which, I think it is B.S. that Miami got to play several national title games on their own field).

But in terms of hype, the 71 game featured #1 NU on a 29 game winning streak, with soon-to-be-Hiesman winner Johnny Rogers, while #2 OU came in riding Hiesman favorite Greg Pruitt. It was a see-saw game in which the Huskers came out on top 35-31. To this day, it remains the most-watched college football game in history, with over 55 million viewers. To put that in perspective for all you big 10 fans, the recent Michigan/Ohio State tilt had 21 million viewers (which was still the most-watched game since '93)

6. The streaker incident was pretty funny.  Apparently coming out of nowhere, running very very fast down the sideline, scaling a 12-14 ft chain link fence, and jumping into a silver getaway vehicle to howls of the crowd.  Which reminds me of a planned streak at Clemens Stadium.  TDT is a soph in Bernard Hall.  His friend down the hall nicknamed "Dirt Ball" decides he is gonna streak the field for the Tommie/Johnnie game in his yellow smiley face thong.  He scouts it out and is ready to go on Saturday but eventually bows out due to the overwhelming number of Stearns County troopers prowling the sidelines.  KR do you remember all this?
7.  Gunderson was sick and under the weather on Saturday.  He didn't feel well.  Spoke to his parents on the charter, they said he eats once a week....on Saturday afternoons.  Kid continues to terrorize opposing lines.  KR: Of note, Anna is teaching in Miami...

How could I forget Dirtball's infamous plan? He shoulda done it, his grades got him kicked out of SJU a semester later with less fanfare than streaking would have. I helped in the planning stages.

Yeah, Anna's teaching Spanish in Miami... I thought everyone in Miami knew Spanish and English was what they needed to be taught....

I just =K'd Duffman to put him at 418.

John's number of wins at SJU now stands at 419.

I propose that Duffman's karma be permanently kept at the number
of wins John racks up at SJU.  419 for now, 420 Sat. pm.

Sorry Duff, I had to smite ya to keep you at the pre-determined magic number.

Congrats on #1000 BDB! +k when PC allows.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Yes, it is!  What a coincidence.  I remember it was also his birthday when SJU played Whitewater last year too! ;D
