On Thanksgiving, my brother in law & I went to the garage at our father in law's house to get a couple of beers- what do you think was there? Busch Light as well as High Life Light- we asked the 16 year old nephew if the Stearns County high school kids still drink Busch Light? Yep

Congrats from the LL to the Johnnies for another win!! ....good luck this Sat!! It's hockey season now for RPI but RT will be closely following the rest of the D3 playoffs...especially since there's still an upstate NY team still alive, albeit with "St.John" in their name (Fisher being the last piece)

Although I wished I had been able to sit in Brice's seat on the plane on the way back from Washington, I enjoyed sitting next to DustySJU and TDT.  I learned a lot of things, including that Red Hot Bennie is actually attractive.  Open mouth and insert both feet as she is, unbeknownst to me, Dusty's sister.  I am used to having feet in my mouth but, in my defense, the sheer talent on the plane probably prompted the question.  At least I did not streak down the sidelines (scary thought/picture) and almost rip my privates off on a chain fence.

On a more serious note, why can't Bethel win a playoff game?  One would think that the gyro jump would summon down enough heavenly intervention to enable them to win at least one playoff game in four tries.   I cheer for Bethel when they play most teams and I acknowledge that Johnson is a very good coach but I can't figure it out.   Is it a losing mindset?  Is it a mindset where the program figures "at least we made it here" and loses?  Is it that they've been out-classed (probably not this year though)?  It's awfully tough to get to the post=season, especially out of the MIAC as it seems the MIAC does not get too much respect with SJU being the exception, and it is too bad that Bethel gets there some years and just tanks/chokes.

I have been correct since my pre-palyoff prediction that the Johnnies would win rounds one and two..here to hoping I am dead wrong about my prediction about round 3!!  Turnovers will be the key! If Koefed can limit throwing the ball to his receivers only, and RBs and return men can keep ball off the turf, the Johnnies have a chance, but will have to play their best game since that game in Salem VA back in December of 2003!  GO SJU!

A quick true but hard to believe story as I want to get my expenses done and get out of here.

Last night I returned home after another long day (why do things speed up at Xmas?) and get greeted with the question, "So who was the woman you stayed with?"

"Huh?" I replied.  "Woman?  What woman?"

"The one that called about an hour ago hoping to catch up after you stayed with her in London.  She's down in Oz and thought she would hook up."

I had returned about six weeks ago from a business trip to Europe where I spent one night in London.  "But I stayed with your sister in London!" I protested.

"Well, Sylvia doesn't think so," the ball and chain replied.  "Sylvia would like you to call back."

"She left a number?  You're joking."  So I call Sylvia back and ask WTF?  Or something along those lines.  And what do you think she was doing?  Calling my last name and first initial out of the phone book one after another trying to find the person she "met".

Friggin' insane.  But a good chuckle with she-who-must-be-obeyed.   I did the call on speaker phone.
