Congrats on your verdict, JR. That's cool that the judge sentenced him right then. I googled this Everson kid. Who is Peter Ivy?

Travel safely, you guys.

A distant cousin of Poison Ivy :)

Congrats JR! Way to start the weekend of Johnnie victories over evil out right!

It's 17 in Des Moines right now and our heater isn't workin. Pretty sure the pilot light went out. I'd fix it but it's locked in a closet in our apartment.

+k to all those who have apartments warmer than 58 degrees* right now :-\  The good news is the colder it is, the closer MrsKR and I have to cuddle  ;D

Tmerts,
Welcome back! Missed ya.

And no, just like the Simpson sophmore who came to our clinic today, I will not write you an excuse from post patterns dated last Monday that says you should be excused from all homework and exams because you were sick. Amazing thing is, the guy was p*ssed at me for not doing this despite the fact he had never come into the office before today.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Who says who can't learn anything in the WIAC (or at least the WIAC Post Patterns)?

Nice link there to http://www.cfbanalyzer.com/index.html

Don't let AO get a hold of this ...

To catch up:

ROR -- I almost had a ride for the Loyola lad, but couldn'd get the frequent flyer seats.

Oz -- You must be a larrikin. I spent about 5 week (not nearly long enough) in 2000 and was back in NZ in 2002. Hoping to return for a month or so in the next couple of years.

Sfury -- a couple of good guys with ties back to Mike Augustin.

Best of luck Johnnies this weekend. Any chance of a web cast like UWW's had before?

Eh, I just called the landlord and bitched about it. He promised it will get fixed tomorrow and took 10% of our rent for December.

Well, when your plans are ready let me know.  We'll get you properly sauced.

BTW - My lesson has been learned.  Do Xmas shopping between 3 and 4 am.  Riding back on the tram I saw the Forbidden Sight.  The Queen Mother of Sights Not To Be Seen...

A nice granny, maybe 75, and her girlfriends were apparently returning to parts suburban from a lunch in the city.  They were very chatty and having a happy conversation sitting on the tram across from me.  Granny is wearing that kind of sparkly, kind of gold, short sleeve sweater type shirt that grannies like to wear and a pair of granny white pants.

As we pass the Art Centre (notice the Aussie spelling?), Granny, in her granny white pants, and her friends stand to change trams.  You may be wondering why it is that I so noticed Granny's granny white pants.  Well, as she stands she turns her back to me and bends over to pick up her bags and...

Granny's g-string visually smacks me across the face three times.  What's a guy to do?  It's subconscious.  It's not like you want to check out Granny's caboose, but a guy's eyes are drawn to g-strings like Oprah to chocolate.  It's a force that can't be resisted.

Needless to say, I'm weakened like Superman after a Kryptonite brownie and feel like I'm some kind of newspaper collecting hermit pervert.  And if that word of caution hasn't taught a lesson, then none will.  Do your shopping late at night.

Yep!  There's a link on www.gojohnnies.com.  If too many folks clog it up so I can't watch, I'm gonna be pissed, though.

Tmerton: Are you gonna be there on Saturday? Or waiting for the return trip to the Austin area? I trust you'd be showing the Johnnies around town...

If we make Austin, I'll be there and can indeed show ya'll around.  ;)  This week I'll be watching the video streaming through the UWW website.

I was unable to watch that last week even on my high-speed connection. Just be forewarned.

We offer a hopefully problem-free audio broadcast as an alternative for those who don't have a T1 line. :)

what a terrific tool.. ;D

this one's going to have whitewater shaking in their booties.  Saint John's should clearly be playing on Jan. 8 rather than wasting their time destroying the competition on the way to salem.

Victory chain from St John's MN to Notre Dame for 2006
St John's MN beat
Central IA who beat
Hope who beat
Albion who beat
Butler who beat
Dayton who beat
Robert Morris who beat
Central Conn St who beat
Georgia Southern who beat
Western Carolina who beat
Eastern Kentucky who beat
Western Kentucky who beat
Southern Illinois who beat
Indiana who beat
Western Michigan who beat
Toledo who beat
Kansas who beat
Kansas St who beat
Texas who beat
Oklahoma who beat
Washington who beat
UCLA who beat
Oregon St who beat
Southern Cal who beat
Notre Dame

just don't tell whitewater fans about this, as their chain to the 1A title is significantly shorter, due to the lacrosse victory over south dakota st.

Does Perkins field have lights? Wondering what might happen if they can't get the field ready-last year they had, what, 4 inches of snow the day before and have to delay the 30 minutes-with all this-what to expect?

Update: It's now 11 outside and 51 inside. At this rate, it will be warmer outside than in by Sunday :-\

Thank God I'll have the Johnnie win on Saturday to warm me up!

Bring plenty of snow snake medicine ZIP. I'll be in my regular seat with all the props. Yesterday, in western CO, we had 12 in. snow and -9 degrees - coldest I've seen in these parts. The reserved seat will be OK though. Just hope the feed is better than the end of last week's game. Have a safe trip - EVERYBODY (even Warhawks traveling to the game).  :-*
