Looks to be a good home schedule next year with Concordia, STO, and UST, as well as OAC member Marietta all making the trip to Collegeville.

Don't forget the always "notable" transfer students that will find there way to Collegeville... Can you say "Eric Decker"?  8)

Dusty, A rumor you have heard or wishful thinking? As was discussed earlier this fall the guy is simply a STUD!

CCKnight

Congrats to all the MIAC players headed to the Aztec Bowl.  It is a great experience and fun way to end their college playing careers.

Veek

Congrats to Kyle for being selected to the Aztec team.

Where's TDT?  I hope he isn't studying so hard that he no longer has time to post.

Is it September yet?  Oh wait, I'll retract that statement until after 12/16/06.

Go Johnnies!!!

How sweet would that be? Smith and Haugen might like that, too.

Excellent!
Since I missed a couple of days last week, allow me to slip one in here a little late...

A Wisconsin gal was shopping at a Target Store and came across a silver thermos. She was quite fascinated by it, so she picked it up and brought it over to the clerk to ask what it was. The clerk said, "That's a thermos . . . it keeps some things hot and some things cold." "Wow, said the gal, "That's amazing. I'm going to buy it!" So she bought the thermos and took it to work the next day. Her boss saw it on her desk. "What do you have there?" he asked. "Why, that's a thermos . . it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold," she replied. Her boss inquired, "What do you have in it?" The gal replied, "Two Popsicles, and some coffee."

I find it quite conspicuous that fins returns to St. Cloud on the day that Hooters opens in the greater St. Cloud Area.  While I was driving by today, I thought I caught a glimpse of him pressed against the window...doing what appeared to be a very adapted version of the "Hump".

Conspicuous? Suspicious? Whatever...
It wasn't me in the window, but since their theme seems to be centered on the owl, one of nature's most beautiful birds, I would imagine they have an outdoor motif in their establishment. Along with beer and wings, I think I might find this to be my kind of place.

I'm on it like white on rice, like spots on dice, like cats on mice...

Joke du jour:

Two Middle East mothers are sitting in a cafe chatting over a
plate of tabouli and a pint of goat's milk.
The older of the mothers pulls her bag out and starts flipping
through photos and they start reminiscing.
"This is my oldest son Mohammed. He would be 24 years old now"
"Yes, I remember him as a baby" says the other mother
cheerfully.
"He's a martyr now though" mum confides.
"Oh, so sad dear" says the other.
And this is my second son Kalid. He would be 21"
"Oh, I remember him," says the other happily, "he had such curly
hair when he was born".
"He's a martyr too " says mum quietly.
"Oh, gracious me .." Says the other.
"And this is my third son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed. He would
be 18," she whispers.
"Yes" says the friend enthusiastically, "I remember when he
first started school".
"He's a martyr also," says mum, with tears in her eyes.
After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and says ...

"They blow up so fast, don't they?"

Why our judicial system blows chuncks....no offense to all you lawyers!  Either that or this is why TDT is so messed up!

That article really has nothing to do with lawyers or "our judicial system". It does speak volumes, however, about one mother's parental abilities and the dubious integrity of one small southern town's police department.

Maybe the Department of Family Services will evaluate this situation and take the kid from the mother-seems she could use some parenting classes.

The fact that the child is being charged has a little to do with the judicial system....The cops should have told the mom to quit wasting their time

Mighty Royal

"He was arrested on petty larceny charges, taken to the local police station in handcuffs and held until his mother picked him up after church."
Maybe Mom should have had him in church with her?

Sumander: I hate to mention it, but you keep confronting us with it. It seems one of your 4 USC cheerleaders forgot to wear her falsies today.

Got me thinking, as my wife tires of me doing, that the list of nature's ugliest birds must be much shorter than the list of beautiful birds.  Ugly: we got the vulture & buzzard, pretty much everything that scavenges.  That's about all I can think of.
