KR- people like you are jurors-why then the big awards? Do people feel sorry for the plaintiff? It is true that a judge could dismiss a case in which he  woman who failed to lose the race to Kennedy despite her best efforts.
determines no set of facts could give rise to a cause of action, but otherwise, we trust jurors to see the "truth." Remeber that these same jurors could be sitting on a malpractice case-are you worried yet?

Scared sh*tless and I have been ever since I started thinking about going into medicine!

It seems to me that settlements in many cases seem to hinge not on the facts or the burden of cause, but on how sorry the jury feels for the dependent!

I've thought about it. I've even actually considered going to law school once I get done with my Navy time, although for some reason 3 more years of school added on to the 7 since high school doesn't sound real appealing at this point in my life! Thanks for the compliment though!

I'll stick with the current jury system we have over government decree any day! Although I still think there should be a minimum IQ score to be on the jury.

You are welcome.  While you would seem to be natural at it, glad to hear that.  Did you know that law school after med school is actually a sign of a condition know as "academicitious."  It afflict people who would rather remain in the safe confines of the academic world than face going out into the real world and getting a job!!  They get degree, after degree, after degree.

A) 35% of respondents answered: "Yes, it is a serious problem."

B) 65% of respondents answered: "No es una problema serio."
