don't get any ideas BDB...    I've put the subdivision on watch for a silver pickup suspected of tampering with mailboxes

Look what I found in Rico21's mailbox.  ;D

Anyone at all find it surprising or ironic that the SI Swimsuit arrived on Valentin's day?

KR - Every year that happens (or close to it) I have always found it funny.

I was listening to KQRS this morning and they mentioned that Paris Hilton was doing an autograph signing in Vienna when people started to boo and jeer her. They then started throwing trash at her and she got hit on the side of the face with a bag of McDonald's french fries. :-[ Since we are not antiwomen at the Stiftungsfestivities, Paris would never be treated like this if and when she shows up in Collegeville this fall.

And to just set the record straight for UWPSuperfan77, we really do love Bethel and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. And I promise to remain sober this weekend at the EelPout Festival in Walker, so help me God.

JR - I know this may be seen as blasphemous...but I had to share the enlightening quote from Paris in my morning paper.

"As a celebrity, you can really make people aware of what's going on in the world"  -- on her plans to travel to Africa this year.

I, for one, am glad Paris is doing her part to educate the world.

Ha, the first thing that I thought of was that guy at UWW in the pink sweatpants.  That was a classic moment.  Even though ROR's pics are showing the dreaded Red X by them I have a crystal clear picture in my mind of that day.

Kilted: Well I wore "Orange Crush" slacks  and the sport coat was a plaid (you know very FLA like).  I will try to put the outfit together for the masses on MIAC PP this weekend and get a pic up here.

FYI: Basketball version of the Monkey Stomp at UST to occur tomorrow afternoon.  Wish I could be there.  Sounds like Theowick is putting together a nice event postgame at O'Gara's on Selby and Snelling.  Olde Johnnie Ale will be served.  Down go the Tommies!!!!

Godfather better watch it or else TDT might bring some of these to his tailgate party next season...

Paris hilton's motivation to go to Africa: she figured it's the only place where everyone else has as much VD as she does.

With the bandwagon out for hire, Fins has to find some way to get that deer home.

Today's results notwithstanding, the bandwagon will be busy for a while.

Still an enjoyable day, with fish tacos on the beach and 2 for 1 mojitos and Tecate. Kinda cool though, low 70's. I know you guys feel for me.  ;D

I survived Bockfest again!  I ran into Frank Rickard who is alive and well.  He said he will be coming out of Post Patterns retirement this week.

And I survived the EelPout Festival, also! :D Got a little cool out on Leech Lake yesterday afternoon with the wind. Regardless, the Pout Fest was rocking. My Bennie niece brought along two of her classmates and three Johnnie students who enjoyed the event. They appreciated the jello shots and one of the Johnnies, noticing some of the shots were red, asked for a Johnnie Red. I had to inform him he was standing right next to Johnnie Red. ;) We also had a few Tommie grads in the group. As you might expect, no one with ties to Bethel was present. :'(

Out on the ice was a beaver hut big enough for anyone to walk into. There was a sign outside the hut that said "Save a cow. Eat a beaver!"

Across from us was an enclosed shelter that was sponsored by a new bar/restaurant in Walker. We went over there to warm up. They had a CD player and were receptive to playing the Paris Hilton cd. However, once they heard the first song, it got shut off. :-[ They were very much into country western, which was somewhat of a surprise given how young the group was. Must be that NASCAR thing.

Down the ice from this shelter was another one that went by the name of "Stop by at the Y." They had a spinning wheel at the entrance that you could spin for a prize. Use your imagination, if you get my drift.

Last night the Club Kego EelPout Festival continued on at the Muni in Longville. One of the Tommie grads mentioned above got to participate in a contest with her boyfriend against another couple. The boyfriend was blindfolded and had a plunger sticking out between his knees. His Tommie girlfriend had a roll of toilet paper between her knees. The first couple to get the plunger handle into the toilet paper roll won the contest. That was an interesting contest to watch, to say the least.

Next social event for the MIACPP: St. Patrick's Day! Belle Plaine and/or St. Paul, here we come!

My goodness! I am gone for a couple of weeks and all hell breaks loose! Anna Nicole dies, Johnnie fans are accused of driving people off and TDT's karma has somehow been moved off the magic number!!

Hmmm...Johnnie fan's hazing newcomers? I don't remember any posts involving nudity and marshmallows... Granted, I haven't been to a Stiftungsfest in years, who knows what happens there! ;) I do know there is a lot of drinking involved! More for some than others! I guess the shotgunning contests could be seen as hazing! :D Last time I checked, Johnnie fans weren't the only ones with karma powers or the ability to post.  As for this site being anti-women, being female and a regular poster, I can say that I haven't seen anything here that I and/or any other woman doesn't encounter regularly in the "real world". Does that make it "right"? No, but it doesn't offend me either. The beauty of this board (and D3 sports) is that it is a small world and you have the opportunity to meet the people that post here if you so chose. I have met a number of posters on this board and some from the NWC. To a person, they have all been very nice and a pleasure to talk with. Even TDT! ;D

I just got an update from SJU Athletics that Damien Dumonceaux has signed with Sioux Falls of the United Indoor Football league. I can't say that I have ever watched indoor football (I don't think NFL in domes counts! ;)).  I know that there are some differences in the rules.  Anyone want to fill me in on them?

Talk about biting the hand that feeds your ad revenue.

TC: Great post.  All true no matter what he wants you to believe.

FYI: Well it looks like I have found my apparel for next football season.

bennie,
Welcome back. Don't forget to go to the loudmouthgolf.com site and vote for the style Tommy should wear to Stiftungfestivities. Tommy says voting ends Feb. 28. I voted for Orange Surebet but I think Bubblegum works too.   :D

My vote has to go to Maui. I grew up in Southwest Minnesota and I must say they make me a bit nostalgic. They have a bit of a Little House on the Prairie feel to them with the plaid. Kind of a Florida (tropical flowers)/Minnesota (bland plaid) feel to them. Perfect for TDT!! ;D
