If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Nice article in today's STRIB on the "newcomer" to Collegeville, Jim Smith .

In case anyone missed Flash's link from the previous page, you have got to check it out. I've shown it to a dozen people. Freakin' hilarity!  :D

Hot off the press! Article by Dahlia Lithwick in The America Lawyer entitled "Why Are the Justices Popping up All Over the Tube?"

Two questions have been haunting U.S. Supreme Court watchers this winter: Why has the caseload dropped to a historic low, and why are the justices suddenly seeking media exposure like Paris Hilton?

And now you have the rest of the story! :o

It is nice to be back on a board where people know what they are talking about, especially Anna and how Bethel su**s.

We need help getting TDT back to his mark of the antichrist.  Any help out there?

As for pants, I still vote for disco balls - they gotta come from somewhere!  ;D

I'm sure everyone watched the Oscars last night. Always nice to see Al Gore on tv. This morning on KQ they mentioned that if Gore does run for president in `08, his first line on making his announcement that he is in the race will be "It's either me, a ho, or a bro!" I'm know all you Democrats out there would appreciate that.

Anyone going to be making it to the state wrestling tournament this week at the Xcel Center?

JR, I like. :-\

JR, looks like your gal might need a little legal help.

At least she can afford it.  ;)

I'm on it. Pro bono, plus expenses.  8)

Touchdown Tommy

Godfather: Did you witness my alma mater MONKEY Stomp Wayzata last night??  Sounds like quite a match...

Quick Report from last night: Twins tie them at 4 (ST games end after 10 innings in ties).  Garza was very sharp and was throwing mid 90s gas.  Schilling looked good as well.  Mauer hit an opposite field bomb to left field that was a sight to behold.  Saw his parents and they seemed pleased.  Scott baker was downright disgusting.  Ken Harvey made a catch in foul territory that made Sportscenter's Top 10 plays.  Oh and Touchdown Tommy nearly got into a brawl after cheering quite vociferously as Mauer rounded the bases...Please direct any further questions to my publicist.  Thanks

You didn't like your experience on the round ball board?  ;D

I was busy checking out all the NHL transactions before the trade deadline on the Sports Illustrated website and came across an ad for classic SI covers. Look what I was able to search out! ;D

http://subs.timeinc.net/SI/coverstore/CoverMain.jhtml?IDs=SPR19920831%2CSPR19920831frame++++&category=Cover&subcategory=1992&page_number=3&returnpage=CoverMain.jhtml

Nice cover.  Anyone have the article?

I have the magazine at my parent's house in my old bedroom closet! ;) That is the only reason I knew to look for the cover.  ;D

The cover and the story are both on display in the SJU athletics building. I think I remember seeing outside the weight room in a display case with a few other awards. That means Tmerton needs to come back to SJU to read the article!!

Oh, it was fun, but we all got help on the Jerry Springer Show. :D
Now 1500, only 3,000 more posts and I can come close to KR's totals and ask Pat why I'm not in the Hall of Fame-be like Ron Santo.
+k to all you snowbound posters.
