TDT, the Ducks are the #2 seed in the west, not exactly a lock. I just think they are cuter than bennie does.     

Son of BDB's first league game is Thursday night. You better damn right we'll be aggressive on the base path's. 

I am suprised that you would pick the Ducks since all of their games start after your bedtime. I hope that Son of BDB's game is early in the evening on Thursday!

Well, that's a cheap shot ala TDT! 

We tried to get all the hockey kids on one team but because the rec department needed to cover the coaching ranks they split us into 2 teams.

Our first game Thursday is us against the other hockey/baseball team.

Should be a blast, with some smack talk mixed in.

I met an older woman at a bar last night.

She wasn't bad for 50ish, we drank and BS-ed a bit, then she asked if I'd ever had the 'sportsman's double', a mother and daughter 3-some?

I said no.

We drank a bit more, then she says that tonight was my lucky night.

I went back to her place.

She put the hall light on and shouted upstairs:

"Mom you still awake?"

Bummer that the Sabres went down last night. I was looking forward to 3 seven game series.

Still could be, I suppose. 

I'd love to see the Sabres come back- nothing against the Sens (who are fun to watch their prowess), but with Vanek and Miller, the Sabres have a ton of former NCAA talent (add in the Devils and you have half of UND and UMN's roster from a few years ago).

I hate the f&$#$#% Red Wings-- that stems from North Stars days...

After what the Ducks' goons pulled on the Wild, I don't really care much for their style of play...who sucker punches a guy who doesn't get into a fight?  Who tag teams a guy who didn't start the fight?  That's WWF villain crap, not NHL tough guy stuff...

I love the Stanley Cup playoffs!

Come on, you have to admit that it is kind of funny watching the Wings' Swedes or one of their resident senior citizens (Chelios) posture like they are going to drop gloves! I think I could beat up Holmstrom. They have more than their fair share of agitators, but not much to back it up! I guess Calder could go, but he isn't a heavyweight. Hasek is an a**!

The Ducks are rather...physical! I sometimes have a hard time reconciling their style of play with the fact that they are named after a Disney movie! It's not very PG!

Yep.  Pretty much all the Langenbrunners (Cloquet boys) have come through SJU, save Jamie.

Senior citizens is right.  Seeing Chelios get absolutely schooled in the Olympics last year by guys that would merely skate by him was enough to make me never want to see him play again.  Ugh.

We interupt this Hockey board for a little..............GOLF! Johnnies in second place after day 1 of the Dlll tourney. Schoolmeesters shoots an 80. The other 4 played better. Looks like they played the tougher of the two courses as well! Go Johnnies.

Boogaard is just plain scary. 270 lbs and 6'7"! That is a lot of power and reach!

I will admit to a certain fondness for "the stache" George Parros. How many enforcers do you know of with a Princeton education? Travis Moen...eh, he is annoying.
