Sad to say, Camp Snoopy isn't Camp Snoopy anymore. It's un-Peanutized.

I noticed there's been a lot of hockey talk in here.

For anyone who wants to visit Camp Snoopy, they'll have to travel to Knott's Berry Farm, located in Buena Park, which is about a 10 minute drive from Anaheim, home of the Stanley Cup Champions.

See Duff? It's more than just me, bennie, j-esq, repete and 57!  ;D

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

You mean OxyBob likes Hooters, too?

Touchdown Tommy

I don't think you missed too much "talent" up on the 4th floor BDB.  Last time I was there I remember being very underwhelmed by the girls.  I believe the quality of your local Hooters is equivalent to your particular region of the country.  While this may not seem like Rocket Science, the new Hooters here in Naples is simply reeeeediculous and that goes for others down here in South Fla.  Same could be said for TX and Southern California.

In other news, TDT took in the Florida State League game between the Ft. Myers Miracle and the Vero Beach Devil Rays in which Baby Jesus made a rehab stint.  He went 0-3 with a walk and looked quite rusty in my opinion.  Had an errant throw on a base steal attempt and a few passed balls.  Have no fear he'll be in the lineup tomorrow night versus the Slugging Washington Nat'ls.  Time to start raking...

Coming back from lunch I'm rolling along with my windows down when they crank up the tornado siren right next to me. Scared the beejeezus out of me.

Figuring I am going to see some major storm entering the county all I see is this little thing.  :P

EDIT: The radio just said there was a doppler indicated tornado SW of Tainter Lake, or in other words where my house is!  :o

BDB, Hope the house is still there! We are staring down the barrel of the red blob on the ND/SD/MN border. Looks like we are in for a direct hit! >:(

Round 1 is through here! 60 mph wind and hail, no twisters. Have not been able to assess the damage to my suburban yet!

Looks like we are in for another round in an hour or so. >:(

Get the vehicles in the Gee-rodges fellas.  I remember these violent thunderstorms well.  Straight line winds, hail, and the occasional tornado.  Won't be long and we'll be getting them here every afternoon around 3pm.

Sum: Did I read the ONLY Minnesotan to qualify for Oakmont next week hails (no pun intended) from Detroit Lakes?  Details please...Course sounds ridiculously difficult, prolly worse than Sunday at Shinnicock

Oh great!  I just got a big check from my insurance company for the the storm two weeks ago!  More hail damage would be awesome.

TDT you are correct. Kid played tennis in High school. His uncle (who plays in our group) got him interested in the game. He is 31 now, turned pro at 28. He won a couple of tournaments on the Dakota tour, but total winnings to date are about $3,500! He played in a sectional in Kansas City 28 guys playing for one spot. He won the spot with a birdie on the first playoff hole!

Ironically, when he was an amatuer, he qualified for one US Am championship. It was held at Oakmont that year. Oakmont being the site of this years US Open. I hoep he does well but I will be shocked if he can break 80.

He played on the Canadian tour last year and won a grand total of $600.

We had another kid from our Course by the name of Kane Hanson miss qualifying by one shot! He tried qualifying where all the pros did in Ohio. Opened with a 69 and followed it up with a 75! That would have been pretty sweet to have two kids from our little muni make it to the big show!

Great story Sum.  That is what makes the US Open special.  Rags to Riches.  Jason Gore, Tadd Fujikawa, etc.  Johnny Miller is the BEST analyst in the game.  Can't wait for the wall to wall coverage next week.  I am seriously considering a trip to Torrey Pines next year.  Been to San Diego once and it was cloudy.  My sources tell me this is HIGHLY unusual.  Many consider it the best place to live in the country.

WTF moment of the day.  MLB Draft on ESPN2.  Terry Steinbach is at the A's table representing them in Orlando.  What the hell?  I thought he was a Twin (I know he won a WS in Oakland, but pretty sure he is in Twins camp each spring helping out)...

Should be the usual war of attrition! :D Intresting to see if Lefty has any lingering wrist issues and whether Tiger can get over his Sunday Augusta performance!
