Yeah, we have a nice piece on Hank and the G-SL team in our print edition today, JR. The Panthers last won the title in 1976.

I'll be in Minneapolis covering the AAA tournament with Dassel-Cokato. My other guy will be up in St. Cloud with G-SL. SESM is a good team that can hit the ball. They ousted McLeod West in the championship finals. I wouldn't be surprised if they won it again.

That's great news for your cousin KR. Not so good for the driver though.

With Father's Day coming up, it reminds me of how some people can't take a joke.

Several years ago, on Father's Day my young kids were playing on the kiddie slides at the park and I notice this guy wearing a tee shirt that proclaimed "World's Greatest Dad."

Not knowing the guy, I walked over to him and said jokingly "how can you be the World's Greatest Dad when I'm the World's Greatest Dad?"

He didn't like it too much.  :D  :P   ;D

KR- I am so happy to hear that your cousin is going to be okay. He was very lucky! It is too bad that his friend wasn't as fortunate. This reminder of how quickly your entire life can change is sobering (no pun intended).

Good news for your cousin, KR.

Unfortunately, some folks don't seem to learn.  Paris' parents appear to be co-dependent enablers ...
Quote
June 12, 2007 -- PARIS Hilton is supposedly at the breaking point in jail - but she'll be breaking out the champagne and partying like mad the second she's released, if her parents get their way.

Page Six has learned that the celebutard's doting daddy, Rick Hilton, was recently shopping a "Get Out of Jail" bash for his little girl to the top Las Vegas clubs, including Pure, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the Palms.

"He was originally asking for a $50,000 cash fee to be paid, as well as accommodations and flights," said our source. "Pure and Hard Rock said 'no' flat out, but George Maloof, who owns the Palms, didn't say yes or no. He's very good pals with Paris and is the one who once hooked her up with Britney Spears."

But following last week's Paris pingpong match - in which the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. sprung her from the slammer because of a "medical condition," only to have a judge order her back inside - Rick's big party-push has been put on hold. Still, insiders say they're positive an out-of-the-slammer soiree remains in the works and will be even more expensive than Rick originally had in mind. "Her cost has gone up," said our informer. Hilton rep Eliot Mintz did not return e-mails.

Looks like a case of the apple not falling too far from the tree, tmert. :-\

KR,

that is a real answer to prayer.  I am happy for your family.  It is really refreshing to see that a man of medicine relys on the power of prayer.  Good luck on the recovery!!!!

Willy Wonka

Mr. Carl Pohlad may have not been willing to pay good money to save the Twins back in the day. However, his secret stash has finally been opened to reveal his true passion: bouncing to Wonka's thug music.

Check it out. Any guesses as to who his favorite rapper is??

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

There must not be anyone at work. Only one post in over 36 hours.  ;D

wonka, the radio tower for B96 is located in northwestern Carver County in Hollywood Township. It was always interesting to have a few citizens demand that the county tear down the tower because of the music that was being played on the station. Those were the days! ;)

Mention in the Star Tribune today about the Gopher football team going to SJU for the first week of football practice in August. I can only assume that what we will see next is Liberty University coming to Bethel around the same time. :P

Man oh man, it's really hit the fan.
Been workin' like a two-bit ho on dollar day.

This cat is in dire need of some cold liquid refreshment. Checked out the Aquafest site to see that, not only is BDB a big-dog sponsor, but also Miller and Leinenkugels.  8) ;D 8) ;D

The PA is in the driveway ready for her 2007 maiden voyage. My engineers are trying to determine what caused the failure of Russian computers that control the PA's orientation, oxygen and water supplies. Just have to repair the damaged section of the thermal blanket, which protects part of the RV from the blazing heat of re-entry into Minnesota.

Some Redlands (Bulldogs) fan over on the SCIAC site wants to change his name to Touchdown Tommydawg.  Would PC allow such a thing?  No way!

Fins and BDB - you fellas have a good time at Aquafest and, speaking of the President, don't do anything that TDT wouldn't do.
