Fins,

Well I am a little out of breath but it is good to hear you have a little "vice" in your life.
I assume it is not the one on your work bench. ::)
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Pro hac vice, pro bono, how about a little pro baseball?...

Nick Punto just singled, lifting his average to a lofty .205.

Ah, pro hac vice. Reminds me of the woman I prosecuted a few years ago for the unauthorized practice of law out of her home in Waconia. She was admitted in the states of Kansas and Illinois. She did try the pro hac vice approach in Hennepin County when she filed a civil suit there. She did not follow the requirements of the law and applicable rules. That was one of the five counts that we went to trial on. Of course she represented herself at the jury trial. Guilty on all five misdemeanor counts.

When she appealed the case to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, she did retain an attorney who was licensed to practice in Minnesota. The appellate court affirmed the convictions.

Those were the days!

Uh oh!  Looks like Al Gore III got himself into some trouble!

100MPH in a Prius! Probably getting about 12 MPG at that point. Kinda like preaching conservation and having an electric bill in the top 1% of your state :o
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I would guess he was getting better gas mileage than that.  Must have been going down hill with a stiff wind at his back to get that bad boy moving that fast.

Perhaps he could get GWB to commute the sentence.   ::)

Ya maybe W would do that for Al JR.  I know if it was the previous president he would have been able to get pardoned but it would have cost him a cool million.  But what the heck with all the carbon offsets ole Al JR is selling he would have had that kind of money.  Oh he probably has that from his big movie and oscar doesnt he.  Maybe Al JR can cut a deal with GWB.  Maybe ole Hillary will be in office by the time it goes to court then Hillary can get the money.   :D

Nah, he has no potential of being a donor to the republican party. With the driving while overdosed on "prescription" medicines, he's a shoe in to be a democrat representative/senator from one of the New England states or at least be invited to the next Kennedy family get together!

Heading out Sat. to spend a week in, gasp - MN!  There may be more 'sotans who head to CA in the summer than kool Californians 8) who drop into MSP, but we're going to do our best to redress this mis-balance.  So if you see a lost rental car next week, stop and give us directions. ;)  This is mainly a trip to see as much stuff as possible, including places where our families used to vacation, so we'll know where we want to spend more time next time around.  I've already hit up Fins for some recommendations but if you have any places around the state you think are good for staying, eating or doing stuff, post away.

This is what Minnesota looks like in the summer, right?

This has absolutely nothing to do with Minnesota or football, but here it is anyway:

The Daily Planet had a conversation with Bethel's head coach Steve Johnson . His closing comment, while not bulletin board fodder, displays some confidence!
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

From SC Times:

QuoteMIAC revamps web site

Users of the MIAC's official web site (www.miac-online.org) soon will notice some major changes. The conference is working with an outside design company to revamp the site and expects to unveil the changes sometime next month.

"We'll have a whole new layout," said MIAC assistant executive director Matt Ten Haken, who is overseeing the project. "It should make it easier to function for fans, administrators and coaches. We'll have a lot of the same features we have now. But it will be more modern with more photos and things like that."

Ten Haken said the changes should help the conference's sports information directors access information.

"There will be a lot of new administrative functions the average fan won't see, but it will be nice for SIDs and coaches," Ten Haken said. "They'll be able to log into secure areas and get information. They'll be able to submit all-conference and player-of-the-week nominations online."

There will also be a few new wrinkles for the general public as well.

"We'll be adding a calendar function on the right-hand side of the page that will list all the games that day in all our sports," Ten Haken said. "We'll have photos attached to each story. There will be things like pulldown standings, schedules and results."

The conference is aiming to have the new site up-and-running by August 1st. But that is not a definite date.

"It could be beyond our control," Ten Haken said. "It depends on the designers and how long it takes them to get stuff done. So we're just saying sometime next month for sure."

I've already told him about Treasure City and the giant ball of twine, so skip those.
