much better showing form the twins this evening, maybe its the alaskan ambers.  Garza is looking sharp, hard to believe his record with that ERA.  They started high school football up here last weekend so it is definitely that time of year-tommies go in the tank, oles collapse, and the royals choke.  Welcome to the Autumn.

Hey Pat,
Last I knew Kcreds was waiting till he knew if his son was making the trip...so my response was postponed. Some slack please!

Kcreds,

Sounds like you have a plan. When you hit Minneapolis if you want to stop there are plenty of Hotels in the area of The Mall of America. There is a water park in a hotel next to the Mall that might appeal to your daughter. Coming straight through to St Cloud so you can hit the tailgate is great and there will not be any problem parking if you are there mid morning. I can get you there with directions or meet you in St Cloud and lead you in from there. Great tailgate, friendly conversation about everyones favorite subject.....RAIDER ;D.....I mean football and the game at hand. Bring beverage of your liking or just come in and sample some of the best of the local varieties. Hamms, Leinies or maybe some Old Johnnie Ale for the opener. Prepare yourself for the best burgers this side of the Pacific, imported from Young America by none other than the honorable JJR the founder of Stiftingfestivities at St Johns. That is Judge Johnnie Red.

After the game a visit to the "La" would be in order to discuss more of the same .....football and the game summary. The Collegeville visit will be a highlight to your football experiences. The stadium setting is spectacular and they will probably have more than 8000 in attendence for the opener.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

So, I take my family on a little Wiscy Dells vacation.

Then you guys throw a major storm party while I'm gone and don't invite me.

I come home to a house with an 80 foot white pine laying in my living room.

Plus 3 more trees laying on my house.

Family of BDB now resides at the Best Western.

I think my house may be totaled.

As DustySJU would say, developing.....

That is bad news BDB- The family is safe & that is the good news from this event.
I hate dealing with insurance adjusters. They'll find a way to blame you for being away on vacation and not protecting your property from Mother Nature ???
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

BDB,

Man, what a homecoming.  Sorry to hear about that.  Sounds like it's a good thing you weren't home at the time.  Good luck getting all that sorted out.

BDB, luckily you did take the family away on that little vacation, or it may have been much worse.  Best of luck on the remodeling.

I don't mean to cause trouble but I feel that Oles recruiting from Florida mute issue.

I think you mean moot:D

No, it actually was "mute".  I was reading these posts out loud (I spent the afternoon talking to a Tommie that is living down here in Oz as well and I forgot how to read in my head.   Takes about two days to recover.  Kind of like remembering how to drive on the right side of the road when I come back to visit the family.) and every time I tried to read that sentence there was silence.  If you hadn't typed "moot" I wouldn't have had a clue what BB meant.

Luckily, I don't know any Oles down here otherwise I'd have to feel guilty about going temporarily blind in one eye from the exposure and then have to feel guilty about mentioning it on PP.

To paraphrase Austin Powers 3... There are two things I hate in this world: MIAC PPers who are intolerant of other PPers schools and Oles.

Speaking of Tommies in Oz... I have discovered that due to the reversed Coriolis effect in the Southern Hemisphere, Tommies here do not suck.  Instead they blow.

Same results.

(And bummer about the home, BDB.  I hope you're able to get everything organised and recovered quickly.)

BDB,
That sucks!!!  Sorry to hear of it.  My folks are just getting finished dealing with the insurance company in regards to replacing their roof and gutters from a hailstorm earlier this summer :-[  All my best wishes!!!

And I wonder: If you stood a Tommie on the equator would he suck and blow at the same time?

BDB: Ouch, man -- that hurts.

Well, I do think BDB has some explaining to do as to why he cut the roots on those trees when he was putting in the Lourdes replica grotto and mini-hockey rink in his back yard. ;D

On the serious side, BDB, glad you and the family are well.  My brother-in-law was in his house sleeping off a real bender from the night before when 3 trees fell on his house.  He's cut back on his drinking quite a bit since then.  ;)

I bet BDB is already selling firewood out by the interstate.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

BDB-
Sorry to hear about your trees,... and your house. What a hassle dealing with all of the possessions, heirlooms, etc. that has to be done when you had plans to be doing other things this week.
I was even thinking of you, putting your favorite avatar back up for your return.
I'd give you the PA to use for your home but, alas, she met a similar fate. A tree fell on her sometime over the last winter while parked at the lake. Should finally get the check from the insurance company this week or next and turn over the keys. The end of an era, but arrangements have been made for an alternate KTV*.
