[  Anton's in St. Cloud is where a lot of players and families go for dinner after the game - it's got a great sign out front that says "Liquor and Fish"!
Close, tmerton. Anton's sign says, "Fish & Whiskey"

Better get to the Great Minnesota Get Together while you can still get real fat.

Any of you work for the Conference? I was hoping to find out when the MIAC season preview will come out.

Too late on the fat thing. Fish and whiskey sound great but I already have a pakage deal which includes a hotel by the airport. How long will it take me from the airport? How many people does the stadium hold? 8,0000 fans sounds great and I hope Marietta has a good following, if not, I will make up for it. ;D Go Pios!

BDB, sorry to hear about your plight.  If there is anything we can do, let us know; till then, you'll be in our prayers.

kcreds-- Bloomington is about an hour and a half away from Collegeville, so to make the tailgate on Saturday morning you'll probably want to head up first thing in the morning-- 9:30 or so.  If you don't stay in St. Cloud after the game (walking around the lake, hitting the orchard, touring the Great Hall, Abbey Church and Bible), I would strongly recommend the State Fair as it is a great experience-- let the kids walk through the barns, eat stuff on a stick, do the ride thing-- as it is about as Minnesotan as you can get.

The stadium has about 7500 seats, but they don't sell out-- we've had over 13,000 in the past, so no worries about getting a ticket.

Well, they got the trees off my house/out of my living room.

The whole roof is tarped and the power is back on.

Almost too bad because now it's real easy to see all the damage. And we discovered major water in the downstairs bedrooms that we couldn't see when the house was dark.

Throw into that the fact that my family of 4 has been living in the same room now for almost a week, so we are beginning to get on each others nerves.

Somebody shoot me in the head and call it a mercy killing.  :P

BDB,
I am so sorry to hear about your misfortune.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Thankfully you are all safe and together.

New MIAC website was up and running last night. Looked nice, good pics. Checked back this morning to miac-online.org and it was a GoDaddy.com site. Interesting

BDB, have you determined if your families personal items are salvageable?  My sister's family in Grand Rapids lost everything in a house fire this spring and that was by far worse than loosing the house.  Many friends took and are taking good care of them.  It does sound as though you may have to get a suite of rooms for the family now.  Again best of luck to you and the family.

BDB -  Sorry to hear of your misfortune.  I've been playing lumberjack for the last day and a half...   when I got up this morning, I discovered that I do actually have some muscles...   and some in places where I didn't know there were muscles.

Final tally, loss of 17 trees!  All but the five biggest of which are now down the hill behind our house.  A logger friend of the family will hopefully be removing the rest tomorrow.  One remains on top of our screened-in porch but thankfully at this point doesn't appear to have caused damage.
