Bethel fan out there? I lose one of my (many) cached karma points for mentioning cold beer on a friday night?

Whatever the reason is for his absence, I do believe he may soon be bigger than Elvis (if he's not already).  By my calculations, there will be TouchDown Tommy sightings coming in from all corners of the world and many distant galaxies in the near future.

Felt like I won the lottery last night. On a whim, GF and I sauntered into Beadreau's Bar on SC's greater east side and discover $1 tap beer. Not just a nightly special, mind you, but to celebrate their 100th year in business, tap beer is going for 100 cents all year long. Interesting crowd, too.
Feeling oh so generous, I bought a round. Woke up this morning and 1st 2nd thing I thought of was I forgot to pay my tab. Stopped in this morning to make things right, and my tab was mysteriously gone. 8)

A double bonus, or was it a triple?  Sounds like a great way to start the weekend Fins

From Frank's column yesterday:
"We need to find a guy who's going to be the complete package," Gagliardi (Jim) said. "We want a guy who can come across the middle, go deep, or even be able to play out of the backfield as the slot receiver.

Hm. I don't think BE has any eligibility left.  :P

The choir had just stopped singing the UW Stout alma mater as the Blue Devil players filed out of the church and workers started to remove the Bob and Steve's signs from the altar.  BDB had been lucky to be away when the three trees had fallen on his house but his luck had ran out during the reconstruction when he stepped out from beneath the second floor landing just as the workman above lost control of the floor sander.

In a surprising gesture, BDB's will had provided $30,000 for an elaborate funeral.  As the last mourners and guests departed, Mrs. BDB turned to her friend Rose, "Well, I'm sure Bob would be pleased."

"I'm sure you're right," replied Rose, who lowered her voice and leaned in close. "How much did this really cost?" she asked.  "Thirty thousand," Mrs. BDB replied.

"No!" Rose exclaimed. "I mean, it was very nice, but $ 30,000?"

Mrs. BDB answered. "Well, the funeral was $6,500, and I donated $500 to the church. Then the wake, food and drinks were only $500 with the Bob and Steve's discount.   The rest went for the memorial stone."

"$22,500 for a memorial stone?" Rose gasped.  "How big is it?"

"Two and a half carats," responded Mrs. BDB.

Leaves are starting to turn yellow, it's getting dark at night again, thank God it's football season!

Reminds me of my one-night stand in Alaska...it lasted 6 months :D

It was a bad offensive night for us," Gardenhire said, summing up.
Is this guy the master of the understatement or what?  12 shutouts.  Fins, that is one of the fringe benefits of living up here  ;)
