Good point.  In all fairness though tonic water and a lime wedge are pretty legit I think, and the occasional white russian doesnt necessarily ruin a good vodka.

Additionallu, the only catch was no shots.  So I think it had to be mixed.

Seems like a hard line to draw. So it's Leon Phelps' birthday, and he asks for one more Courvossier, is that "a shot"?

Good questions, I guess we'd have to ask the folks at the Loco on that one.

Somehow though I suspect most U of M students out for their birthdays at BL to get free booze arent too upset they have to mix their top shelf hooch with "something tasty".  Even if it is ruining a good thing, the sheer safety factor implied by dissallowing free shots of top shelf is a good idea.

Off to Texas for the week, getting there there right before the hurricane, hopefully will be able to get out on Friday.  Have a great week everyone!

You know, the Hamm's bear would never react like that. He was nice.

I really, really hope his clothes were off due to being mauled by the bear and not of his own doing for what he planned to do with the bear.

Geez, that article was dated 2003. I hope you don't have to wait 4 years for your home.  :o

Duffman, remember that this coming February you will be attending the EelPout Festival in Walker, not the BockFest in New Ulm. ;)

Great win for the Chaska Cubs last Friday night over Cold Spring in the first round of the state amateur "town team" baseball tournament in Norwood. Score was 5-4. Quite a crowd from Cold Spring. The only drawback was that the game got over at 12:15 a.m. Saturday morning. The Green Isle - Blaine game, which started at 5:00 p.m., went 14 innings with Blaine coming away with the win. The rain on Saturday and Sunday has really screwed things up for the tournament, as you might imagine. Makeup games tonight with games originally scheduled for this weekend moved up to Thursday. A third site, Green Isle, has been added to help Norwood and Hamburg with all the games.

Geez -- the annoying guy at work just popped his head into my office to tell me that gem on Friday. :)

You mean you're not the annoying guy?

That was uncalled for, but as you know, I rarely pass up open shots.

A Johnnie, a Cobber and a Tommie walked out of a bar together and agreed that it was a okay bar but not like the one's at home.
In Moorehead said the Cobber, when they find out you are a student, for every fourth drink you buy the fifth one is free!
That is nothing replied the Johnnie, in St Joe when they find out you are a Johnnie the third drink is free!
The Tommie said that though these were nice things, in St Paul when they find out you are a Tommie, all your drinks are free and that when you are too drunk that you are taken upstairs to bed and made sure that you are taken care of sexually.
The Johnnie and Cobber both doubted this and questioned the Tommie if this had ever happened to him.  The Tommie replied that no, it had not personally happened to him, but it has happened to his sister on several occassions. :o
