Didn't realize there was a quote button, my bad still learning the ropes.  Pretty excited for the 8th and starting the day with one of those Patrick's bloody's, though.
I like to picture my Jesus singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard with like a band of Angels behind him, and I'm in the front row HAMMERED drunk!!!

Remember that tomorrow the Stiftungsfest celebration in Norwood Young America starts. Go to Stiftungsfest.org for the calendar of events. Hairball is playing tomorrow night. Miss Minnesota will be making an appearance on Sunday afternoon and will also be throwing out the first pitch at the state town team tourney in Norwood. The Stiftungsfest board tried to get Paris Hilton to make an appearance but she evidently has made plans for a surprise visit to the Stiftungsfestivities this fall and thought that one visit to Minnesota was enough. ;)

Speaking of the Stiftungsfestivities, we will have a porta-potty in place for this season along with a larger charcoal grill supplied by the university. We still have to provide the charcoal. Starting time will be 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1 in the parking lot above the scoreboard end of the field. Visiting fans are always welcome. Bring a culinary delight to share if you like.

Drove to Norwood tonight...baseball cancelled due to more rain. Instead, stopped and had a dinner at Crossroads. Decided along with my roommate to stop at T-Road Tavern on 33 in New Germany. Then the Holywood Ranch House on 7. Silver Lake Liquors and the finally at American Pastime in Hutch.

A day too early I guess for Norwood.

Johnnie Red

Piperinsider, Chaska's game also got postponed last night to Saturday evening when we play Rochester at Green Isle. Glad you got to stop at Crossroads, the T-Road and the Hollywood Ranch House. Hopefully you can make it up to the Hollywood Sports Complex sometime. Right next to the radio tower for the favorite radio station of Auggie Tech, B96. :P

Spider monkey? More like spider pig!

Preseason coaches poll is out with SJU on top, as expected. Unless you're OAS ;)

1. Saint John's (8 )
2. Bethel (1)
3. St. Olaf
4. St. Thomas
5. Concordia
6. Gustavus
7. Carleton
8. Hamline
9. Augsburg
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

According to the poll write up all coaches voted for all teams except their own, making a unanimous pre-season champ impossible.  Thus all coaches that were allowed to voted for SJU, and Gags was forced to vote for Bethel.  Effectively SJU was a unanimous pick, although Bethel techincally got 1 first place vote.

Just thought Id point that out.
