Compared to ND's long and storied history, those are mere blips! 8)

I personally prefer 86! Those Avs/Wings games/battles back then were epic! ;D

For Release:  One Armed Scott joins staff at www.JohnnieFootball.com!

Well, there goes any credibility we had!!!

Don't worry Duff. He makes a big splash, then disappears. Look at stiftungsfestivities.com. the site hasn't been touched in nearly a year. It says, "Next Stiftungsfestivities September 30, 2006"   ???

Yeah, but stiftungfestivities.com has the better member pictures and bios - esp. for Duff, ROR and TDT. ;)

There's a really fascinating story in the new Minnesota Monthly. I'm sure OAS probably knows this story but doubt many others do. It's about a guy who was the first African American to be head football coach at a predominantly white school - Macalester in 1971 - but he's been forgotten in history. He didn't have much success at Mac, but the story's really interesting.

Fins- Are you going to put together a good batch of the koolaid with the good tequila and fresh squeezed limes again for the 1st?

My vote is for some eelpout ale. :-*

sfury,

Thanks for that link.  Great story.  I vaguely remember him as the Mac coach.  I don't remember it being a big deal.  I mean that in a good way.

I sure hope Mac does something to honor him.

Since it is a special occasion and all, I feel it is only appropriate that I treat my MIACPP buds to some quality stuff.  8) Sorry about the ale, though. Perhaps for a later game I could brew up a batch.

One of my friends was telling me about her favorite new drink.

one can of frozen pink lemonade
one can of vodka
one 12oz can of beer

Put it all in a blender with ice. She called it a "Strip and Go Naked", so on second thought, it might not be appropriate for tailgating! ;) :D

Updates of Cobber Football camp can be found at Cobber Fall Camp

Concordia's SID Jim Cella has put a new twist on the fall camp articles by comparing positions to songs.  They are at the end of the articles and you will see what I mean.
