Dusty, opening day at the Stiftungsfestivities was excellent. Paying the $3.00 entry fee will not get you free burgers. The festivities was rocking Friday night with Hairball playing. Business in the hamburger gazebo was very good.

I was there last night again after coming back from Green Isle and watching the Chaska Cubs play Rochester in the state baseball tournament. Chaska lost and is now in the loser's bracket, playing Dassel Cokato this afternoon back in Green Isle.

Bennie-  The strip and go has long been a favorite of the San Pedro party scene affectionately called "Strippies" and the name does fit.  Duffman I don't know if you watched the GAC_SJU  game last year, but the final score definitely didn't reflect the game and I don't know if SJU's success can compare to the dynasty John Ross is building in Sartell.
I like to picture my Jesus singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard with like a band of Angels behind him, and I'm in the front row HAMMERED drunk!!!

Caught a little of the Pittsburg State (Kansas) DII game yesterday and the announcers made a good point about the kick-off from the 30 this year and how it will effect DII. The starting position yesterday was consistently at the 30 or so. The effect will likely be greater at the DIII level, teams should have great field position-put more of an emphasis on special teams this year.

From Shooter today:

The 60-player Carleton College football team, which includes senior linebacker James Colbenson of Rushford, Minn., will leave soon for Rushford to assist in clean up from last week's flooding.

So Mongo comes out of hiding with his sexually charged post with a link that I put up a couple hours ago.  Have you decided if you're going to join me on Sept. 1st?

Frank, first of all, I'm always sexually charged.  Second, I'm out right now for Sept 1st--funds are short right now.  I guess if I need to tailgate, I think I have some friends who are tailgating the U of M game--$1.50 lightrail ticket plus $5 for two 40oz suits my wallet better right now.

Wonka--what's going to be your first GAC game you attend this year?  I could  make the trip to join forces--you know Frank will be there.  Missed you at Woodbury days yesterday...but saw your sister.  She is 100% better looking than you.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

Willy Wonka

Mongo - I'll be there on the 8th, with said Sister. I may get there extra early to do the 5k Fun Run (oxymoron, if I've ever heard one) and then probably trying to find a freshman to shack up with after failing in my attempt last year.

Vikes opener at Pattys, Ruttles or Trains after my walk of shame on Sunday perhaps?

Happy bday to Wonka (in 40 minutes)!
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Happy Birthday WW; Happy Birthday Guy Bellair, too.

So who is going to step up and take over the MIAC Pick'em from me?  PM me and I can tell you my tricks.

Duff gets major props for steering me to the Fat Tire on my recent trip back to Minny. It was a huge hit at a social event back in the old country.

Glad I could be of service.

Hey Duffman: agreed, thanks for getting me hooked on Fat Tire beer. Just bought several bottles at $2.99 per bottle-pretty good deal. Will have to crack one for Saturday's game, while enjoying a Polish here in Illinois.
Do you think the D will be the story for SJU this year?

Hey Zip,
I got the bobblehead dusted off. Are you ready for some JOHNNIE football?  :D

Isn't it always? :o

Honestly, I could foresee a little shakiness in early games with a few untested d-linemen and a young linebacker corp, but the staff will get things figured out and I expect a solid defense.

I think the offense should be very potent this year.  4 of 5 o-linemen return along with Kofoed, Patnode, and Weber.  There's some talented recievers waiting in the wings (Solt, Busack...) and I believe that Blackmore will be a solid running back.  Could be exciting.  I hope they can balance out the air attack with a good running game.

Thanks for that info didn't realize that the rule had changed.  Should put a lot of emphasis on the D as well as special teams.

Never had a Strip-and-go-naked before, sounds yummy, must ask the girlfriend if she knows how to make them  ;)

Also tasty and a similar recipe are beer margaritas, dont have any official recipe or anything, im sure someone can find one here but generally we use:

frozen lime juice concentrate
tequila
ice
mix above in blender
add beer and stir, dont blend though or you get too much foam
