If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

SJU's does not return a kicker with any made field goals.  Marietta's kicked 8 last year.

I'll give you that.  The SJU kicking game is perenially weak. :o

A tradition unrivaled...

One would think that with all the long haired bearded dudes running around collegeville that one of them could have some kicking skills from a childhood of soccer.
I like to picture my Jesus singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard with like a band of Angels behind him, and I'm in the front row HAMMERED drunk!!!

Duff, it's got to kill you that you can't be in Collegeville this Saturday. Ditch the wedding!  ;)

Missing the game + missing a day of the Labor Day Weekend + Lake Sturgeon opener...I'm sure the wedding will be fun, but there are other things I'd like to do.

Don't worry, I am replanting our backyard this week so I am sure the rain will stop soon.

OK Duffman, this better be your very own wedding....if you are missing it for someone elses then that really stinks....

I think I am back in the SJU sattle again as my little guy is old enough to know the cheer "who ya rooting for...S.J.U. and now my Bionic man is on the Alum board so he has to go to the games....Yipee!!

We will be there sat and will miss you D.man, but looking forward to seeing everyone else...remember fashion is also key at the "festivities".  I will be wearing pink of course!!!

RHB--Great to have you back!!!  We've missed you.  Can't wait to see how big the little guy is getting.

It's not my wedding--would I have a wedding during football season.  Mine is next May, after Memorial Day and bass fishing opener, of course ;)

I think I may have finally located TDT.  It appears that he has been right here in Central Minnesota getting ready for the opener.

The following is a look at the police activities in the St. Cloud area. It is not a comprehensive list, but rather a glimpse at what is going on in local cities.

A resident called police at 11:56 p.m. Friday after a man wearing only underwear walked into a home in the 800 block of 30th Avenue North. The man had knocked on the home's door and when it was opened, he came in. Police located the man in a field across the street. He was extremely intoxicated and blew a .325 on a Breathalyzer. Police took him to St. Cloud Hospital.

I doubt he was drinking some of DuffMan's finest brew's, at .325 there had to be some consumption of Grandpa's ol' shine!

p.s.  Duff you were correct awhile back.

I will be attending the pre-game festivities in Collegeville with a couple of friends.  Even though I've attend in past I need some advice should I desire to consume adult libations.  What is permissible?

Thanks for any assistance.

Great Faunch. You should know that adult bevvies are prohibited in the outside areas at SJU. That being said, we have somewhat of an "understanding" that we act discreetly and we're not looked at too closely by the security, who find that they have a much stronger hand dealing with those crazy students than with us.  ;)
By "discreetly" we use red solo cups and pour our sodas into them from the trunks of our cars, etc.
I would expect no problems. 8)

MC HC ('99 college grad) has a better 40 time than SJU HC ('49 grad)

Oh come on.  Our HC should be well-rested.  He hasn't run a wind sprint in something like 50 years!

Safe travels to Collegeville, and don't forget to say hi to the Stiftungfestivities contingent.

Finsleft, could you also bring a good size bag of charcoal (the kind that does not need lighter fluid)? Thanks.

RHB, it is great to have you back on the board. Look forward to seeing you Saturday at the Stiftungsfestivities.

BDB

So family of BDB is watching Big Brother 8 last night in the cabin.

(Please don't nail me on this. We are dealing with 1 TV, 1 bathroom, no PC and no internet as we are displaced from our uninhabital home. Mrs. BDB made this viewing choice.)

P.S. I'm pulling for Danielle.  ;)

Anyway, so far I've fixed the toilet and fixed the furnace in this 1934 built rustic structure.

While watching Big Brother 8, a new menace showed it's tail. A nice friendly bat started flying around.  :o

So later this morning I have a pest dude coming out to perform a bat eviction.

If any of you watch Big Brother 8, you will know that evictions are the name of the game.  ;D
