Finsleft, why don't you bring along some hot dogs and buns to provide a little more variety to the culinary delights?

I thought Sum was in charge of the weiner food. ;)

(Please don't nail me on this. We are dealing with 1 TV, 1 bathroom, no PC and no internet as we are displaced from our uninhabital home. Mrs. BDB made this viewing choice.)

You need to man up here BDB, and get Mrs. BDB one of these (or else get one for yourself so you can watch football when she wants to watch The Iron Chef ;D):

And you might want to check out this website and get prepared for the next storm. 8)

Tmert, Should know by tomorrow afternoon whether I will be attending the festivities or not. Waiting to see if Daughter #1 qualifies to go to the golf meet in Eau Claire on Sat & Sun!

If you have to go to Eau Claire just drop 'em off with Fins ;) and he can bring 'em in his weinermobile.

Do you have your dish aimed and set for the opener against mighty Idaho?

Anyone read about the incident at the University of Colorado-Boulder yesterday morning, the first day of class? A former employee of the university showed up on campus and tried to slit the throat of a freshman by the student union. He then went into the student union and stabbed himself. The student is going to be alright. Thank God my "little girl" was not present when this was going on.

Scarry stuff! Random violence like this is always very frightening. I am glad that your daughter is okay! I sometimes wonder if things like this happen more on college campuses or if they just get more press because they happen on college campuses... In the time I have been here, we have had a report of a bomb infront of the building I work in (false alarm, but the bomb squad showed up with their robot to remove the "bomb"), a report of a gun in the residence hall across the street from me (also a false alarm) and a student that had to be removed from an office one floor down by five police officers and some pepper spray. I must say that our Office of Public Safety/local police dept. is good about responding quickly and sending out alerts via e-mail. With some things, there are limited preventative measures available. :-\

9 iron might not be her best club! I bet she can get it with the rescue wood though! ;)

Tmert, That might work! As Dusty would say developing....

I see SC's back up QB  and starting tailback are both going to sit this one out. Not sure if they will be able to cover the 45 point spread without them! ;D

So family of BDB is watching Big Brother 8 last night in the cabin.

You have my sympathies! May I suggest reading a book instead? ;)

bennie,
What is really scary - according to today's Denver Compost:
CU routinely hires the mentally ill without checking criminal backgrounds. Apparently the Mental Health Center doesn't give out that info based on confidentiality. Of the 7,300 employees of CU, only those seeking tenure, handling money or having access to information are ever vetted. To top it off, the 'alleged' attacker has attacked with a knife before - in both cases he didn't like the the way the victim looked.  Don't tell JJR about this.
BTW: The 'alleged' attacker apparently had worked as cashier at the Alferd Packer (the so-called Colorado cannibal) Grill.

How about a half-assed roll call for Saturday? Who's coming and who's snot?
TDT will be flying in from FLA.

Will ROR be there with his $4,000 camera?

I think Wooderson and Veek will be there.

Will ROR be there with his $4,000 camera?

57 will be in his regular reserved seat in western Colorado giving half-fast reports.  ::)
