From Frank's blog this morning....

But if that's not enough SJU football for you, check out a new web site started by Johnnies fans, including former player Ryan Bielat. Some good stuff up there (However, I disagree with some of the order on their list of the top football stadiums in the MIAC, but I'll post my own list later). The web site can be found here: www.JohnnieFootball.com

That's hot.  Frank the Tank taking cyber-shots at TDT and calling DuffMan a has-been?  We've hit the big time!

A few gems from the Gagliardi interview:

S With that many kids, how do you remember all their names?

G I don't. I hate to admit, but I don't. We put their names on the helmets. I learned to do that a long time ago. I can look at them and they think I know who they are.

S You were busy in the offseason doing speaking engagements. How did that go?

G I spoke at the same program at Stanford as (Los Angeles Lakers coach) Phil Jackson. That went glorious. I spoke in Colorado with (Denver Broncos coach) Mike Shanahan. That was really great. I spoke in front of 7,500 football coaches at the national football coaches clinic with Bobby Bowden. Plus, speaking with different business things, geez, it's like stealing money. It's better than stealing or robbing banks. I don't even have to put a mask on. I make more money on one speech than I made in my first year of coaching the whole darn year. I tell the monks (at St. John's) they give a different sermon every Sunday to the same audience. I keep moving around and use the same jokes.

S How good is this Marietta team you'll be playing?

G They play in the same conference with (defending NCAA Division III national champion) Mount Union College. They'll be one of the better teams we face.

SJU fact o' the day:

What other team has 2,800 endzone seats? If SJU just filled those seats, they'd rank 30th in d3. (According to the NCAA stats ... those seats also would hold an average crowd in the WIAC or more than two seasons' worth of Mac attendance.)

Anyone else catch that Sansy gave John an extra 100 career wins in his story today?

I assume it has been covered, but I just wanted to pass my congrats on for johnniefootball.com.  Nice work Duffman, Dusty, JR, etc.  Frank linked to it in his blog today.

When you get to that high of a numnber it just all blurs together and it is hard to pick up, kind of like adding a feather to a pillow.

I think it is fantastic to see how many MIAC schools are in the top 30. And when you think of the weather that we have to sit in to attend, it is even more impressive! ;D
