I'm playing in a small group money game (golf) tomorrow, and probably won't be home until about 2:30 or 3:00. I'm torn about whether to join the game in progress, or wait 'til it's over, and listen to it in it's entirety on the archive. I need guidance! Any one, anyone, Bueller?

Speaking of "Mr Tubesteak," I wonder if would get the "Hairy Larry" Craig treatment if I ordered the One-eyed walleye when I go out for the weekly Wisconsin Fish Fry Friday tonight?

For those of you that need to scroll down to find the content on www.gojohnnies.com/football, what version of Internet Explorer are you using? I came across this issue with one of my laptops in the office. The web page is fine on my PC (Internet Explorer 7.0) but is all screwy on the laptop with Internet Explorer 6.0. I had IT look into it and that is the only explanation they could come up with; of course, with no solutions. Sorry for any inconvenience,

Internet Exploder 6.

I've never seen this behaviour until today.

Are these the same guys who mange the streaming of the game broadcasts?  Must be SCSU grads.   ;)
I usually use Safari and gojohnnies is working fine there. I also have Exploder 5.2 which I seldom use but it is working fine there also - strange but could it be because I have a Mac version of Exploder?
Hope the feed comes through tomorrow.   ???

Johnniepress,
I'm running IE7 at home and it works fine.  I have a previous version at work (IE6, maybe?) and it is screwed up there.

A tradition unrivaled...

He replies, "Thank God it's not Bethel, they are a bunch of cheap-shotting bastards! When we played them in 2004, I got hit and grabbed in the balls so much I thought I was a Backstreet Boy at an all-girls school.

All I could do was smile and say "Yeah, I've heard that about them! ;D

That is an interesting comment coming from a player from Central.  In the 05 game against them Tommy Davis went down with a torn ACL from a cheap hit after the whistle...

However in general the Dutch seem like pretty good people

I can't wait to see the puppets attack the Johnnies!

Geez, I miss a day and KR returns!  And with a great story (I remember getting a warning on the Interstate in Iowa once, too - it was 5:00 am and I'd been driving all night - was so tired I almost fell asleep in the trooper's car - expected a ticket and was pleased to get a warning - nice state).

Getting on the redeye tonight - see you in the AM.  Last words: No charcoal lighter! ;)

Mr.Shoes

I think the roll call was a few pages back, but TC and I will be rolling into the tailgate between 10:30 and 11:00.
Nice day, huh?

Gustavus posted its season preview today. Check it out.

Here's my favorite section.

"Veteran quarterback Jordan Stolp is primed to have a big senior year after directing the offense for the past three seasons. Stolp is on the verge of breaking numerous school records including career passing yards, career completions, and career attempts."

Umm...didn't want to mention career interceptions, eh? He's 11 away from the career mark of 56 and has averaged 15 a season. With a former WR taking over the playcalling duties, I'm expecting GAC to throw more than recent years...so this seems like the biggest lock of all his potential records.

Edit - Sweet Jebus...I ended up ripping Stolp with my 2000th post. Unintentional, though I suppose it's appropriate given the last 3 years of Gustie football...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

C'mon Little Scotty Baker!  Biggest inning of the year!

Wonka,

I'd like to see your reaction if one of the Johnnie faithfull had pointed out that glaring omission.   ::)

Now, if it had been TDT, I'd be able to see the explosion from where I'm sitting. ;D

I think I learned something today...with St. Christopher pinned to the visor and an SJU sticker on your back window, nothing bad will ever happen to you.

I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus,
Sittin' on the dashboard of my car...

See y'all at the hallowed spot.

Howdy all, just finished a security vetting course down in Memphis.  Heading for Afghnistan in about a week.  So I will have to depend on PP for all my D III updates.  One of these days I will have to make it up to collegeville to check out these "festivities"

Sorry you are going to miss most of the season but for a good cause.

I tip a few jello's for you tomorrow. They come in Cardinal Red and Raider Purple as you might expect.
