Johnnie Red

I'm assuming we will want to do a Stiftungsfestivities this coming Saturday in River Falls, especially with BDB so close. Anyone have a suggestion as to where we should be setting up the tailgate party?

Kcreds, thanks for joining us on Saturday for the tailgate. It was great to meet you and the other Marietta fans. Good luck the rest of the season.

Pat Coleman

Hopefully someone in city hall can get you a permit to set up wherever you like. :)

I found this interesting.  I know they do this all the time at the the D-1 level, but I guess I've never heard of it before at D-III.  Although, if you can make an extra couple G's, why not.

Cost for an adult on a per game basis is $6 for volleyball and women's hockey and $7 for football (with the exception of the St. John's game on Sept. 8, when the charge will be $8),

Chris, that's because they know there will be more Johnnie fans there than River Fall's fans...... ::)

After their respective debacles Saturday, does anyone think that Notre Dame may want to reconsider and be the Gophers opeing opponent at the new stadium?

I suspect the Domers are just trying to figure out how to win a game this season.  It's a good season to be following the Johnnies.

Check the stats from the River Falls link, 9 kickoffs average 55.3 yards.  I think if they kickoff more than once it would be advisable to kick out of bounds.  The new 30 yardline kickoff rule did not change the delay of game penalty.  Your opponent gets the ball on the 35.  Is it ethical to kick it out of bounds on purpose?

It was a tremendous day with great weather, great SJU football, and great friends.  What more could a SJU fan want?  Oh yeah, great burgers, brats, and beer.  I had those, too!

The brats were indeed great, Veek.  It's a great excuse to go light on breakfast.

I think the proceeds from the UWRF Stiftungfestivities should be donated to the BDB home reconstruction and tree removal fund.  Either that or just buy him a chainsaw. ;)

Tmert, looking at the recap I see #2 son had 4 tackles including one solo! Not too bad!
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Yep, good thing Johnnie Red is considering bringing the Stiftunfestivities on the road because as per usual UWRF will run out of food in the concession stand around halftime like every other stadium that underestimates the big red wave :o
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

He played well (he likes to knock the blocking back into the ball carrier on the kickoffs) but hurt his knee in the first half so had a tough time in the second.  He wasn't walking too well yesterday - we'll hope it's just twisted or a sprain.  Kyle Schroeder really took a shot to the knee as well and was in a brace Sat. night. Don't want to lose him.  Lots of good sophs.

He was very conspicuous on kickoffs.  Looks like the speed is ok.   ;)

Hope the knee is feeling better.  Lots of ice.  No such thing
as too much ice the first few days.  (I'm a former trainer)

I'd like to hear an explanation for that.
