3. The Alumni Association has decided to get involved with the Stiftungsfestivities.  They provided an 8 ft table, a Porta-potty (proper noun on purpose, and aimlessly close to precipitiously tumbling down the hill towards the Natural Bowl), and a large grill.

Did they buy these last year for the SJU players to take a sh!t in while getting rolled over by the BU running game?  :)

Well, now I know what must be on the sidelines for every Bethel playoff game...  :-*

Okay, first off, I suck...a lot.  I throw myself on the mercy of the court and ask for your forgiveness stemming from my unexcused absence on Saturday.   While no excuse will ever be good enough, Friday night I drank too much vodka and proceeded to lose my phone and any alarm system to wake up to.  I woke up Saturday morning to sunlight and found out it was 9:30am.  In waking up, I found myself in at a least a Level 5 hangover...maybe even a Level 6.  After using my buddy's phone to try to find where mine was, I ended up hearing the phone outside on the deck.  I scratched my head for about five minutes and realized I was probably not in good shape to drive two hours to collegeville and decided to head up to senser's with some buddies to watch the michigan-appalaichan state game.
While no where near as good as the stiftungfestivities would have been, watching the game with two of the biggest michigan fans ever was awesome.  These were some excerpts from their emails over the last few days:  "It still seems like it didn't happen. I completely avoided not onlycollege football but sports in general over the weekend." "ATTENTION: For the non-Michigan fans who decide to join this group, harass us on the walls with a "App State!! Michigan sucks!!" style comment, please don't. Any other time, we don't mind that much if you decide to come in and toot your horn a bit. But right now we're shocked, stunned, and hurting badly.." "Michigan went from #5 to out of both polls. This is just a nightmare.I really just need this weekend to begin."
So hearing all of that was quite fun.  I'm looking forward to this weekend and the opening of the new Gustie Football Stadium.  I still have 3-5 Johnnie games on the schedule I plan to attend.  That is, if I am still allowed to attend.  I understand I have disappointed many and would like to know how many Hamm's it will cost me to make it up.

Sincerely yours,
Frank Rickard

I can only hope an appropriate punishment involves me, hamm's, a pool of chocolate pudding and Willy's sisters.

Judge Finsleft presiding...Please decide Frank's punishment and subsequent retribution ASAP

Bennie: I couldn't have said it better myself.  Just when I was about to compliment Freebird on a rational well thought out argument (See: Steve Johnson rant in his previous post) he goes and completely reminds me of his posting history.

Approaching 2000 pages on MIAC PP......

Question of the hour....

Who is going to be the lucky one to bring us there?

Touchdown Tommy

Hey Flash,

Will you be bringing some of your Groovy brew to River Falls??  Anyone know if the stadium is on or off campus like at UWEC?  I was perusing the UWRF site and couldn't find any specifics.

Hey Sumander,

I have a feeling you can redeem yourself for your absence on Saturday by making an appearance with your hearty Wild Rice Brats this Sat at UWRF circa 9-10am.

I haven't seen KR mentioned.  Did he join you at the stiffyfest?  Or did he stay here in Iowa?

From Fred Falcon on the WIAC Board:

Duffman, et al--thanks for the heads up on expected crowd. I'm thinking the parking situation will be less than adequate. Also, our facility, actually only a glorified high school (not even glorified) setting, will be the least you encounter in away games. However, the field surface will be superb, courtesy KC Chiefs.

The good news: we are kicking off a fund raising project Saturday which will considerably upgrade Ramer Field, to the tune of about 3 million bucks. All we need are donors! Right now, only UW-Stevens Point has a football facility to "equal" ours, and I have not seen theirs for several years so it may be improved there.

Do tour our campus if you have time. We have a new "green" Student Center within easy walking distance of the field. It makes quite a "wow" first impression.

Johnny Red--will your stand be operating?

The stadium is on campus, south end I believe.

Just the kind of post on this board that makes me cringe, just a little. :)

Mr. President, This weekend will be spent fishing with my Brother on Lake of the Woods! The award winning Wild rice/onion/garlic brats will be making an appearance at the Auggie Tech game on the 15th!

No Groovy this year. A case of 4 different Wisconsin beers though.

I have a feeling that this kind of post makes Willy's sisters cringe too! ;D

ROR - thanks for volunteering to bring a grill and brats.  Before you pack those things, however, please pack a few batteries in your car so that you will be able to take some great pictures this Saturday. :)
Go Johnnies!!!
