Silly,

I believe the Auggies are traveling to Collegeville Saturday, not the other way around.

Darn. I keep looking for Arenaville, USA, on my map without success ...
He's not even on this planet let alone the USA.

Do they have some kind of split worked out for the gate for the River Falls game? If so, some of the extra bucks went back to SJU. Maybe even that $3 for parking the picnic table. :D
BTW, my son's youth football team lost 34-0 on Sunday-I now know how all you MIAC fans feel after playing SJU-not a good feeling.

The only split was SJU heading north then back west on 94.

Sorry Bethel, not to look past you...but bring on the Johnnies.  Week 4, Concordia vs. St. Johns, the biggest game of the season in the MIAC.  A total difference of 4 points in the last 3 years, and if we hadn't given the game away the last two years we'd be going for the sweep of the Johnnies in my college career.  Remember 3 years ago...get ready Collegeville...get ready Johnny Rats...Cobber Nation is coming...

Now that I got that off my chest...Bethel you're gonna eat it all day.  You're done.  Remeber one name...Clinton Strother...cuz he's gonna ride your quarterbacks into the ground all game.  It's coming.  The Nation awaits you.

Bethel, unlike Concordia, has a quarterback and doesn't have to use different "quarterbacks" in a game.  Being a young Cobber fan I can see why you would be confused.  Our quarterback has taken one sack this year and I doubt your boy Bill Clinton Strother will do anything to change that.

I do expect it will be a very close game which gives Bethel an edge if you consider Cobberlicious comment about their games against SJU

Freebird,
Indeed CC uses 2 quarterbacks at times, but so did Florida and you saw where that took them!  National title.  However, it will take a lot for CC to accomplish that.  That's why I say one game at a time.

You coming to the game on saturday?

I really wish I could make it up to the game this year but I have to go to Philly on Saturday.  It should be a lot of fun and a great game!

I don't recall how many returning O Lineman the Cobbers bring back, but they are very big upfront.  As one of the last posters stated they are big all the way across the front.  It always takes teams time early in the game to adjust to the speed of the cobbers run game with their 3 back set.  As well, their QB is pretty mobile..  This is the first time this year Bethel will face an offense this good, and the first time Concordia will face a team with this much Defensive speed..  It will make for a big game, but I do not believe the big game this year will include the Cobbers.  The Oles are waiting for a shot at both Bethel and SJU.

STJ had me nervous this past Saturday. I'm rooting the Johnnies on all the way to Salem.

At one point during his time served as a youth baseball coach, Fins called Will, one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside and asked, "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?" Will nodded in the affirmative.

"Do you understand that what matters is not whether we win this game tonight but whether we win or lose together as a team?" The little boy again nodded yes.

"So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call him a pecker-head. Do you understand all that?" Again the little boy nodded.

Fins continued, "And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach 'a dumb asshole' is it?" Will solemly nodded his head no.

"Good," said Fins. "Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother."

To all young Cobber posters out there,
First of all its great that Concordia is getting more and more support on this site, and I encourage you all to back our team.  However, after saying that I wish that we could all have a little more tack and respect for the rest of the MIAC.  Its still early in the season and there are a lot of games left, lets take them one at a time.

On a positive note, I think the game this saturday should be a good one.  The Cobbers are playing good football but as always the MIAC is different than non-conference games and look for the Bethel game to be a solid match up.  Royal fans out there how is life after Port, Carr, etc.??  Also, what can we expect from the Royals up in Moorhead this week on both sides of the ball??

Heck, they don't even play the OU-Texas game for several weeks yet.

I now have a 8x10 glossy of the new Hollingsworth Field (very nice indeed) to go into the new Guest room with some SJU goods on its way.

I 'm collecting something from all D3 schools so if you can help please let me know and I'll give you our address.

Thanks!
