As I recall, Kofoed was the 4th qb used in the 1st game he ever played in for the Johnnies and has won about 30 games since then.  8)

  In reply to TC's comment earlier this morning about St. Olaf not starting a true defensive player in years, I would disagree. You can say what you want about many of the players Olaf has had but I don't think ANYONE can disagree that John Davis was an amazing player and a class act. In my opinion he would have started on any team in the MIAC and was a role model for any player on the team. He was what a football player should be, tough as nails on the field and an extreme class act off.

Fins you sneaky little Sonuvabeech.  Indeed the pic of TDT sporting a stylish pink helmet (believe it was for skateboarding) was taken at Ron Jon's Surf Shop in Estero, FL.  I saw the helmet and knew that my buddies in the MIAC PP would get a kick outta that (contemplated picking it up, but passed at the 29.95 price tag).  Good guesses everyone.  It appears that I will have to step up my game in the next "Where in the World is Touchdown Tommy" series.  Well played Fins.

During the West Virginia/Maryland game last night, the announcers said that WV's fullback, Owen Schmitt, played a year at UW RiverFalls before transfering to WV, walking on, and eventually getting the starting spot.  He had a few impressive runs, and it was said that he'd make some pro teams happy. 

I still think the only good thing to come out of Wisconsin is beer and cheese.

Owen Schmitt is the real deal, and a nice guy too.  Here in WV, the Charleston Daily Mail did a nice article on Owen a couple of days ago.

 A young Finsleft asked a waiter to take a bottle of Merlot to an attractive woman he spotted dining alone.  The waiter took the Merlot to the woman and said, "This is from the gentleman seated over there," gesturing toward Fins.  She regarded the wine coolly for a second, not looking at the man, and decided to send a reply note.  The waiter, who was lingering for a response, took the note from her and conveyed it to Fins.

The note read:
For me to accept this bottle, you need to have a Mercedes in your garage, a million dollars in the bank, and 7 inches in your pants."

After reading the note, Fins decided to compose one of his own in return.  He folded the note, handed it to the waiter and instructed him to return this to the woman.

It read:
For your information, I have a Ferrari Maranello, a BMW Z8, a Mercedes CL600 and a Porsche Turbo in my garage.  There is over twenty million dollars in my bank account.  But, not even for a woman as beautiful as you, would I cut three inches off.  Just send the bottle back."

Anyone that might be attending the UST game this weekend should pick up a Highland Villager newspaper.  The Tommies athletic department has an ad w/coupon for 2 free admissions and another coupon for a free soda and popcorn.  You can usually pick up a villager @ The St. Clair Broiler on Snelling or call the Villager @ Phone: 651-699-1462.
I'd consider going buy I'm lying on the pullout sofa recovering from the big "V" procedure that I had this morning!

COBBERNATION, I will unfortunately miss tommorows game in moorhead, but I hear 68 and sunny... as opposed to 45 and soupy.... however, the BU faithful will be there as usual.  I was really suprised to see Simpson travel so poorly last week to Arden Hills.  I think most of the posters will admit that like them or hate them, the BU faithful follow and support their team...

we hold hands, and love aluminum bleachers (well not me personally, their frickin hot, and the noise is annoying..)    I am already getting nervous....
