I'd consider going but I'm lying on the pullout sofa recovering from the big "V" procedure that I had this morning!

Ouch!  Hope all goes well! ;D

So far "All is well" (Kevin Bacon, Animal House).
On the way to the procedure about a quarter mile from the clinic I pulled up to a stoplight off of Radio Drive in Lake Elmo...the van in front of me had a St. John's Johnnies window cling on the rear window.  I took it as a good omen.

Upon leaving the clinic I popped two Brett Farve happy pills and am now nice and mellow w/ a bag of frozen peas!

In reply to TC's comment earlier this morning about St. Olaf not starting a true defensive player in years, I would disagree. You can say what you want about many of the players Olaf has had but I don't think ANYONE can disagree that John Davis was an amazing player and a class act. In my opinion he would have started on any team in the MIAC and was a role model for any player on the team. He was what a football player should be, tough as nails on the field and an extreme class act off.

I used to hate that guy.  #29 Right?
Um YA YA!

So you opted not to go with the Oklahoma/Texas procedure that Tmerton posted about earlier in the week? ;)

It is always best to be medicated for those kinds of things! Get well soon! ;D

I read that in the paper and it totally freaked me out!  My procedure was much less invasive!

No valium...a good friend had a "v" on Wednesday and got the valium...he almost fell asleep walking down the hallway to the procedure.

Two pieces of advice (in addition to quality pharmaceuticals):

1.  Lots of ice
2.  Milk the sympathy for all it's worth.  You should be treated
like royalty at least through the weekend.

I don't think Hopkins has a chance...don't tell anybody I said that because I work there.  Besides...it's going to be a bit chilly tonight!

If it is chilly, you won't need the frozen peas, just wear loose shorts! :D

I'm not sure if milking is a term that should be used in the context of this conversation :D
