Do any of you Cobbers who are coming to the game on Saturday have any friends who grow sweet corn?
If you do, and can bring several dozen, I'll bring my cooker and boil 'em up for us. Just want y'all to feel at home.  ;)

Goes great with koolaid!

Fins,
I had initially thought to bring a shrimp platter to the tailgate, but if people want sweet corn I can get some.  Lets take a vote...if you are planning on attending the CC/SJU game post/message if you would rather have shrimp or corn.  The one with the most, I will bring.  Sound good?

hey cobbernation,

i vote for CORN  ....[since i'm originally from Mitchell, SD, home of the CORN PALACE, the high school teams are the Mitchell KERNELS, the mascot is CORNELIUS, the radio station is KORN, and the surrounding football teams play in the CORNBELT conference]

unfortunately, i probably won't make the game this time [WV is 1,000 miles away]

good luck to both teams on saturday..

Johnnie  [aka Corn.Cob on ebay]   :)

Maroon&Gold

I don't think that this is posted anywhere here yet but it looks like the Cobbs have finally solidified the QB battle: Larson is a Safety again.

Looking better and better for me to make the game and the pre-game festivities. May try to get my hands on some Lefse for the bash.

BTW CobberNation, my vote is Corn.
RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

After picking up my brother and his bride at O'Hare, I rushed home and was greeted with the SJU/URF blackout too, and I live in Wisconsin. What possible contractual deal would call for that? I too was as PO'd as "THE GURU". My brother recorded it on his DVR from a Comcast system in Northern IL last week, as it was broadcast on Fox Sports Pacific, or some such wierd venue.

The game was on last night (FCSC) Fox College Sports Central on the Cablevison system in the NYC area.  I was surfing and came across the game.  Too bad there was only 1 minute remaining when I found it.

It was on here, too, last night.  We were watching the recording of the game (which I made when it was shown early last Sat. morning) when a neighbor called to say it was being broadcast "live" on FCSC, which we get via Comcast.  However, according to the cable schedule, it was supposed to be LSU Football on that channel at that time, so the only way one would have found it would have been channel surfing, as you and our neighbor did.

Pat - Is there any way to get info from Fox on when they will be broadcasting/replaying D3 games?  Or is that up to the satellite and/or local cable companies?

Garnet did a little research and found this:

It looks as though the next airing will be on 9/21 @ 9:30am Eastern time.  This looks like the NYC area broadcast schedule.

click here for the schedule in your area: http://msn.foxsports.com/id/1991727 go to programming on the right side of the screen.

Nice sleuthing, Garnet - +k

As the demolition of house of BDB progresses, we are up over $10,000 estimated add-ons over what the insurance will pay as the repairs are not "storm related."  :-\

Are we having fun yet?  :P

ScoutTeamTommie

Any other Tommie fans almost hoping the team goes winless so the AD will have no choice but to fire him?

Well, replacing formica with granite -- don't you think that's an add-on? ;D :D

No, I am hoping the Tommies go winless because they suck.

I'm hoping they win a few games so he doesn't get fired.  I like him as the Tommie coach.   8)

I can't imagine they'd be missing anything interesting by leaving Fargo-Moorhead for a weekend.  Can you get some chips from Mick's?
