I remember one time, just before gametime with the lights off for the national athem or player annoucements, one of the rats turned the hand crank (near the top of the stands) a couple of times to raise the opponents bucket a few inches.   The interesting part was trying to lower it during halftime with the lights on.  They were looking for the tallest students to stand in front of the crank to hide the guy who was lowering the bucket.

They give out degrees at St. John's now?  Thought they were known for their program of "No".  No tackling, no required classes, no respect for opponents, no leaving college on time when 5th year of eligibility can be found.  In any case, I'm quite happy to be done with my undergrad.

I don't think the Johnnies are taking applications from LP-GE based upon their performance on the field the last couple years.  Got spanked by Cathedral-not a good sign.

With the emergence of St. Olaf as a solid team and no clear dominating force I look for Concordia, St. John's, St. Olaf and Bethel to battle it out. The others have shown no life and only marginal ability to knock off a good team.

Hey Gary, remember when Gustavus beat Concordia last year, Concordia finished below .500 overall/conference league, GAC finished better than you overall/conference and you're about to start 0-2 in the league? Besides those very minor issues, I guess you make a great point.

Below is a postcard picture of it before they moved and widened it (notice Joe Hall in the background, also later moved, and Engel Hall (now Simmons Hall) next to it-- they just moved the name on that).   I saw pictures once as to how they moved it-- on rails, if I remember correctly.  I wonder if I can still find those.

Quick question for the Johnnies, what is the exact ruling on adult bevvies on campus? I know that it is a wet campus, but can I bring in a 6 pack of my favorite malted beverage and openly drink tomorrow, or do I have to be pretty secretive about it??
