So does anyone on this board have a connection with Paris so we could cordially invite her to the Stiftungsfestivities? The Johnnie-Tommie game might be perfect. Let me know.

Not sure if that would be a good time or not, given Ms. Hilton's reputation she could easily be mistaken for a Tommie co-ed.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Still here, but pretending to work.

Quick question for the Johnnies, what is the exact ruling on adult bevvies on campus? I know that it is a wet campus, but can I bring in a 6 pack of my favorite malted beverage and openly drink tomorrow, or do I have to be pretty secretive about it??

I thought I was clear--no drinking for Cobbers!

Keep it hidden and in an opaque cup and you'll be fine. ;D

Ahhh, the good old days.  ;D
Speaking of good old days BDB - I need some information.
Mrs. 57 & I are planning on making the Ole game. We are starting out by visiting my sis in Titletown. I'd like to know if Hwy 29 from GB to where it joins 94 is still considered a hazardous waste site as a result of TDT's trip to the Packer/Viking game last year. Are alternate routes or protective gear suggested? Hope we can get through safely & maybe stop for a visit.   ;D

57 - To the best of my knowledge , since the infamous roadside TDT duece incident of 2006, the Hazmat team did their job,the former HWY 29 has been renamed in honor of the event and a rest area has been added.

You should be good to go.  8)

That's certainly good news. I heard that at one time they were considering making Dunn, Chippewa and I think Clark and Marathon counties Super Fund Sites.  :P

Duff,

The road sign posted by BDB is one you would see on your journey this direction to catch a game.  Probably 8 hours east of here, but still in the same state ;D

Have a great time at the SJU game this weekend.  I may call you for updates.

I may make an appearance tomorrow at the festivities. Nothing scheduled for tomorrow morning/afternoon. Now, if I can only get up before noon.

I'll bring some culinary delights to share.

5th? Why stop there! Didn't Mr. Keating get an 8th year or something?

You're just jealous because you're not even qualified to hold his jock strap.

Good one, but this really is one of my favorite topics. I still love that Keating took 6 years to graduate.

In terms of the quality of his jockstrap, however, I did hear through the grape vine that Mr. Keating's flag football team (which includes Ryan Iverson and some Johnnies) was beat by some X-Oles this week in a battle of X-MIACers re-living the glory days.

Is Ryan Iverson back in Minnesota? Whatever happened with that severe leg injury (or hip?) that had him in a wheelchair when he was an assistant basketball coach out east?

Lot's of people go to college for 7 years, but usually we call them doctor.  Everyone needs a good victory lap.  My favorites were the one's listed in state publications as having 2 senior years in high school.

Props to TDT for his "OFFICE SPACE" homage a few pages back, while talking WWF (or whatever it's called now) smack.

BDB- why don't you give us a home repair update along with your Anna Fridays post. We all still are high on empathey for your situation.

Oh, I've held bigger and better jock straps than Mr. Keating's. I even picked his pocket once on the basketball court in Year 5/6/7 (I forget how old he would have been).
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

I saw Iverson a few months ago and he has a nasty scar on his leg. I don't know what he is doing now, but he is back here. From talking to my bud who played against him in this football game, Iverson can still move and jump really well. However, he still has an unusally high voice.

Retired Old Rat

I have confirmation that Stan "The Man" Nelson, longtime Anoka High coach and grandfather of Cobber qb Jesse, will be in the house tomorrow when the Cobbers take on the Johnnies.  Hopefully he will make an appearance at the Stiftungsfestivities.

Wonka, your old man still has time to make it.
