Sfury: Stay dry. I can imagine the playoff race at 161st and River Ave is grasping the citys' attention. Nothing like these early Fall days with baseball pennant races and the start of football season!!

How come they play high school games on Saturday's in California? That seem strange, because I believe almost everywhere else in the country people play Friday nights.

I guess I always thought that everyone played on Friday night hence the TV show and famous book "Friday Night Lights". I know here in FL and in TX the meccas for high school football they play of Fri. nights.

We need 7 here...Yessss

Oh contrare. 99% of the games in MN are played on Friday night as well. Only exceptions are holidays and occasional inner city games played at 4pm for fear of gang fights and wild gun battles if they played in the dark of night...

TDT-you know the reason for Friday football originally?? So that the farm boys would be able to work the farm on Saturday-thus lots of Friday games in Wisconsin, Minny and Iowa.
