Or is it the fact that Schoenebeck is just as arrogant as you claim Gagliardi is???

CCKnight.  Don't fool yourself.  The game was never in doubt after the first  5-7 minutes of the third quarter.

Plus, your coaches are annoying in the press box.  I stood outside and couldn't help but laugh at how many times they yelled about players "being soft" - i.e., getting their tail handed to them.

Apparently it just depends on which side of the monkey stomp you are on...or who is doing the stomping! ;D

your right cheese, the game was not close, ever. Bethel was not playing to make up for last year, their game plan was to win period. Like any other game.  and CC, last year during the Royal/Knight game, I hear everytime RJ Jackson got up from the field he said and I quote" Thats the way RJ Jackson does it..    This year every time he got up he had snot bubbles coming out of his nose.........  One word for him,  Clariton.  Dries tht right up..

Duff,

Let's go easy on Willy Whiner. He's got a 3-0 team with Bethel, STO and SJU up  next so I'm sure the poor lad is under stress.

And he's a reporter without the ability or ambition to see that SJU never put 80 on Carleton in the '90s ...

Don't let the facts get in the way of your rant, WW ....

What is up with RJ Jackson this year.  He was a stud last year and has done next to nothing this year.  Is Ramler going in a new direction?

Wow!

Gustavus   57
Hamline     21

Gustavus had scored 41 points in the previous 3 years against Hamline, losing twice. Consider that 57 the equivalent of Gags sending an 80 (?) point message to Carleton in the '90s.

Pete: No, he's enough of a reporter to do math. He's saying that Gustavus' 57 compared to the 41 average would be like St. John's scoring 80 instead of 70. I understood perfectly.

Being down 11 with around 4 minutes left in the third quarter is hardly completely out of it, it's just too bad that Porta wasn't around still to fumble away the game again.  Bethel did put it away shortly after that and it wasn't close by the end of the game, they played better and won, but they definately aren't world beaters by any means.

I never played with RJ so I cannot comment about talking, etc. as you can't really hear any of it from the stands, but whatever people talk.  I heard so much s@%t talked throughout my career even though I never really talked any (plenty of it from Bethel too), even from people that just got ran over, it's just part of the game every team has someone that probably runs their mouth a little too much.

Can anyone explain why the OAC has 3 teams in the top 10 on D3 Sports?

Shoulda taken a peek at #11 while you were there.

Hey d-train, don't upset the Guru again by taking a shot at the poll. He's been doing his darndest to explain it, with some success I'll admit, but I think the best way to explain it is that it's still too early in the season to have a finely honed edge on it. They do their best with what they have. I think that the Johnnies should be ahead of UWW, not because they are better (though they might be) but UWW did lose a game, albeit to a D II team, but from what I've heard, didn't look all that good. It will all be decided on the field, and the only thing that concerns me is getting SJU the top seed in the West when the playoffs start.

So does that mean we get to bank points? If that is the case, Mount Union will not have to play another game until the next century and still have a winning record! ;D

I am so glad to have it explained to me that if your team isn't historically a high scoring team, monkey stomps are acceptable, not examples of running up the score at the expense of the other team. I am sure the losing team finds that reassuring.  ::)
