Deontae is a great player, spectacular some might say, but we all need to remember that players don't win games, teams do.  You can be the best player in the world but it won't mean anything if you don't have the team to back you up.

Hopefully the Oles will play a great game against Gustavus this coming Saturday.  I think they can do it, but I have a feeling Gustavus is ready to bring it.

I hope you aren't talking about bringing the lutefisk ???
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I can remember going to the Reub for $1.00 beers (included tip) and free wings.  I can't believe what I pay for beer there now.  I was a big fan of Froggy's and at times the Cow.

I expect Gustavus to play well this weekend, but I think they will definitely face more than they can handle.  The Olaf 1st team defense should be ready to play for about half the game.  Then the Gusties get to play the reserves in the second half for their 'oh by the way points.'

Chuckle, chortle....

Yeah, but he couldn't have been in a position to get beat like that unless he was really fast.

C'mon, don't give the kid a hard time.  The scouting report is that he can shut down D1 transfers, not future NFLers...

Good luck to the Gusties this weekend.  Hope they take it to Olaf.  Should be a good game.  Unfortunately, I cant make it down there, but I will wear my gustie gear and yell at anyone that I suspect has even heard of St. Olaf.  I may get arrested.

Frank/Wonka--give me in-game updates, I'll have my phone on me.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

I could be way off, but I'm pretty sure Stolp will still throw to his D3 preseason AA who is 2nd in the nation in receptions/game and 3rd in yards/game. If Deontae's as good as you say (for the record, I don't think he is), I hope to see him following Arlt all over the field in two days.

I don't know, Deontae goes up against some pretty damn good receivers any day. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better 1-2 combo in the MIAC then Schmiesing and Gant.
IMO I think Schmiesing may be the most underrated player in the MIAC. He puts up great numbers and makes minimal mistakes. Also, he is the only person that I have ever seen be able to get out of EVERY single would be big hit. Sure, he gets tackled but he finds a way to turn a potential 'Sheldon Brown/Reggie Bush-esqe' hit into a simple drag down.

Johnnie--- I remember the beaver commercial too. Here is one with the beaver cutting down a tree in the beginning.
