M&G,

Good find with Pace's catch.  Who do you guys play tonight?  Hope you get another win.  Good Luck!

CCBacker,

Will CGB be undefeated after this weekend's match-up?  Let me know how the game goes.  Please don't let the town fool around follow you home this weekend.  Just run and run fast.

Yeah, that is lame. :D  Mongo used to be so cool, like when we pounded Hamm's at halftime in the parking lot at GAC a few years ago.  ;D

It's been outlawed :-\  I'm out of practice.  BTW, I had a conversation last week with a guy who was at the Waffle House with me in Salem in 2003... :D

T. Hamm Brewing Company in Saint Paul, MN.

In 1968, the company was acquired by the Heublein Brewing Company, which sold it to Olympia Brewing Company. In 1980, Olympia merged with Pabst, which was acquired by Stroh's in 1984 and then by Miller Brewing in 1999.

So, sky blue water refers to Minnesota or Washington State (Olympia brewing, right?) ?

Outlawed-when I get up we are going to do something about that-maybe some civil disobedience. ;D

Minnesota is commonly known as the "Land of sky blue waters" and the "Land of 10,000 lakes."

Enjoy the games this weekend, everyone.  I'll be enjoying a weekend camping on the North Shore.  DustySJU would normally step in here and make a bold prediction about me getting engaged on the trip (as he does annually), but since I already took care of that deed, I suspect he'll keep his trap shut :D

On the contrary Duffman;

My precition for this trip is you and the soon to be Mrs. Duffman will be discussing the delivery date for the first of the Duffman brood while enjoying a piece of peach pie at Betty's.  The over/under is 3....slices that is.  Enjoy your north shore visit as we'll continue to do the work here to delivery another Johnnie Victory.

Slow day on the board....

Does anyone have some good examples of major let downs in terms of transfers who were suppose to be impact players?

This year Bethel had a "big" transfer from a D1-AA school in Illinois who was suppose to be an impact receiver.  It turns out he is a 3rd string receiver with nice speed and no hands.  Major let down  :-\

I think it goes to show how DIII is a bit more competitive than some people think.  Just because a player made it on a "higher level" team doesn't mean they are that much better a player.

Im not from Osakis!!

Tough battle tonight with Wadena Deer Creek.   ;)

I love middle school coaches who stack 8 guys inside the tackles, especially when I run a lot of option and counters!

First time I ever got stiffed on the post-game handshake in 7th grade FB though!  Guy was a tool, reminded me of Will Ferrel in Kicking and Screaming.

Wadena Deer Creek!  Who do you coach?
I believe that would be the Little Falls Flyers.  Just another program known for running up the score on the little mites of central minnesota.

No way....I do not do that.  I want to be able to keep playing these schools instead of having to go to Bemidji, etc...

Maybe the use of "tool" was a strong word last night, but when I am trying to shuffle 47 kids in and out, and he is running his kids to the line to run a play before we are ready, I have a hard time with that in 7th grade FB, and I let k him know that was how I felt.

Funny story about the game.. . on the bus ride to Wadena last night, I told the kids that Wadena was ranked #5 in the state in 7th grade FB (many hockey players on the team who play at levels where there is state rankings.)  After we won, the kids were excited, and one of the parents came up and asked me if this "huge upset" would give us a chance to be ranked!!!  Oh boy, welcome to Morrison County!!  Time for some people to start marrying outside the family

I don't know, Deontae goes up against some pretty damn good receivers any day. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better 1-2 combo in the MIAC then Schmiesing and Gant.

I'd be extrememly surprised if Meidt pits his first-string offense against his first-string defense on a daily basis.  When I played, the only time I ever went against our first-string offense was in the first two weeks of practice.  But then again, I wouldn't put anything past Meidter.

There are times every week when the ones play the ones. Granted it is not game like intensity but they do face each other.
