Gee AO, I thought maybe you would show us some pictures from the last couple of SJU/STO games instead.

Actually Deontae and Horace are also two of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

Gant does seem like a pretty funny guy.  After last years hockey game at the St. Olaf Freezer Gant and I engaged in a heated across the parking lot dialogue/argument.  His point: He made all conference.  My point: We won the conference and all conference doesn't mean sh!t.  Things diverged from their but it was a lot of fun.  He is enjoyable to trash talk with but I doubt he will have any new material after this season is done  ;D

No one out-schemes John at halftime.

You mean no one out schemes John and his staff of 10 high school hall of fame coaches

BDB - let me know when you are coming to LF and I would be happy to meet you for a libation or two or three.  Maybe Fins could join Ritz, you, and I since he is just down the road.

In previous seasons I would ask if St. Olaf could bring their homecoming float to the game, but this year could be different.  I think the Carleton game and the home field could be deciding factors for SJU.  They will be pumped, but things could quickly fall apart.  The winner has a solid track to the playoffs and MIAC championship.  The loser has some meat on the bone.  As an Ole I give SJU the edge, but I think St. Olaf can win this game.  This year Olaf has the tools on offense with an improved defense.  It will be a much better game than last year.

Let me start by saying this:  I have not seen the Johnnies play this year.  I have seen the Oles play.  I am basing this opinion on conversations that I have had with people associated with the SJU football program, what I have read on post patterns, what I have seen in reviewing statistics, and what I know about the St. Olaf football program.

If St. Olaf wants to win the game, they will need to do the following:
1.  Put pressure on Kofoed.  Make him make quick/rash decisions and watch as the mediocre QB shows up (not saying that he is a mediocre QB, but he can play inconsistently).
2.  The offense needs to play their game (PROTECT PENZ), and they will be fine.
3.  Remember, the Johnnies are not a team of superhumans, no matter what you read on here.  They are just regular people.

If it is close at the half, the Oles will take this one don't stand a chance.

Oles 27, Johnnies 23  SJU 44, Oles 17

Just my unknowing 2 cents

As part of the last two SJU/STO tilts I can definitely say that it's always fun preparing for a team that you know has the ability to beat you if you don't play your game.  That being said, it is comforting to know that you'll be better prepared and MUCH better coached than the team you'll be playing against.  STO meidt have a few issues when it comes to beating SJU.

Mac77, one correction in reference to the 2003 season. Bethel was not the final regular season game; Crown was! Where is Bluenote when we need him?

Mac, welcome back!!!
Thanks, DuffMan!
I haven't had much to add so I've been "reading only" on the Forum for a while.
Hope to see you all in Collegeville on Saturday.  It's our 30th class reunion (hard to believe!)  Looking forward to a great football game where the Johnnies dominate!!
