Are the Ole posters running out of steam, or starting to get worried about swallowing their humble pie?  Getting awfully quiet after a robust couple of days.

My quietness can be attributed to my love of beating the crap out of choir kids in IM's, not my "concern" about a slice of humble pie.

I should probably get started on my paper that's due at 9 a.m. tomorrow though.

Surely at one of the greatest learning institutes in the free world, papers that are due in the morning aren't started the night before?  I can see this happening at St John's, but never, ever in Northfield.  But best of luck with the choir kids.  And as Graham Nash once sang, "Humble Pie is always hard to swallow with your pride."

Notice how I stayed out of the debate over academic supremacy  ::).  I do pretty well for myself though (3.2) considering that I have absolutely horrendous study habits.

Well, we're back.  Had a lovely week down in Lorne on the Surf Coast, formerly called the Shipwreck Coast.

Go the Johnnies!  The poor weather doesn't sound too exciting but we can't pick the weather or our in-laws.

(thanks for the karma circle jerk while I've been gone.  I've blessed all and sundry on the last four pages in return.)

I won't say my beliefs on the situation for fear of starting a massive political debate...

You two wouldn't be alone.  I too believe I would be arguing on your side.

I wouldn't FEAR starting a debate, but I sure would fear a pissed off Kubiack.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

This morning on KQRS it was mentioned that Paris Hilton, via the Hilton family trust, receives about $250,000 a month after her housing, clothing and meals are paid for out of the trust. With that kind of cash you would think she could make the trip to Collegeville for the Stiftungsfestivities. ;)

She probably doesn't think she has the right shoes.

Do you think she's got a pair of white tennies from K-Mart?  ;D

57Johnnie and spouse are due to stop in for a visit shortly.

I'm all a twitter. Developing.......

Hell, with that kind of petty cash, you'd think she could fund the Stiftungfestivities for all eternity ....  :P

Good to hear they're traveling safely!  Why didn't you have him make a post from the store?

83, windy and isolated T-storms on Saturday in Collegeville as it looks right now. Running game and D may be more of a factor then we were thinking.

The only chance for rain is overnight, by 10 A.M. the chance is down to 10% and partly cloudy.  It is supposed to be pretty breezy (15-20) but that won't be much of a factor down in the bowl.

Both KR and 105 giving me +K in the same day?  I predict a SJU win and I'm in good graces?  That was almost as easy as a Tommie  ::)

I might be able to stop up for my first ever Stiftungsfestivities on Saturday morning for a little while with Hamm's/Gluek's/Premo/(insert own choice here) in hand of course.  With stiffyfest growing in popularity I was curious if an RSVP would be in order?

I recall talking to you at St. Thomas last year.  I think that was an "unofficial visit."  That would make this your first official attendance.

No RSVP required.  Bring something to drink and something to share.  You don't have to bring something to share, it just means you should put a little more green in the collection jar.

Collection jar= Judge JR's re-election campaign fund and new Buick fund ;)

Hey, at least it's tax deductible, right Johnnie Lawmen? I deducted it anyway.  ;D

Due to my sorry excuse for a Johnnie brother-in-law deciding that homecoming would be a good weekend to get married... well, his fiancee decided that as any married man will tell you 90% of all decisions during and/or leading up to a marriage are made by the female... the other 10% are decisions you make knowing what she wants to do and going with it to avoid an argument or banishment from the honey.

So anyway, I'm looking for a volunteer to send me quarterly text message score updates, or at least someone who doesn't mind me calling between the vows for updates.

The semi-difficult part about this is that I am in the wedding. Great amounts of research and planning about this subject will be performed tonight during the rehearsal!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I've got a good feeling about tomorrow's game with the end result being another Johnnie victory.  I just hope that JR and I are not grilling in the rain.

Ritz came and spoke last night to my local Lions group about bullying in schools and the program that they are implementing to address this situation.  It was a great presentation by him and another colleague.  When it was over we always give out a Lions coffee mug to the presenters.  Our new shipment hadn't arrived yet, however, and thus I only had one to hand out.  I knew that I would present the mug to Ritz's colleague but I obviously still needed something for Ritz.  I went back into our storage area and looked all over and I finally came up with a great find.  I presented Ritz with a mason jar mug that had another club's insignia on it from an event they had hosted back in 1985.  I had hoped to present it in a serious tone but I cracked up as soon as I picked that mug up and handed it to him.  Sorry Ritz.  I'll give you a refreshing beverage tomorrow to make it up to you.

Johnnies roll in just under 28 hours.  I love this time of year.
Go Johnnies!!!
