I still haven't decided what to wear.... :-\

Looks like shorts might be in order.  Do you have any spandex bike shorts?

Time to pretend I am a judge and take off early on Friday afternoon. OH WAIT, I am a judge. So much for the pretending; I'm out of here so I can go home and start pattying up the 16 pounds of the Stiftungsfest burgers for tomorrow and get everything else set up. My Johnnie brother and his Tommie spouse  :P will be making a guest appearance tomorrow as will my Badger son. At least he has the right school colors. See everyone tomorrow morning at the tailgate.

Now there's a scary visual.

Fins,

Wear that washed out shirt from Concordia (Very good luck ;D) that appeared to be a shade of Dusty's sister.

Was perusing Johnniefootball.com (hey-how come you guys never mentioned this site?  ;D) Were there no Oles willing to step up and write the "view from St. Olaf" column?

Ha, I'm sure we'd be able to find someone willing to venture out on a limb and give their thoughts on the Oles--you've been reading the board this week, haven't you?

The fact of the matter is I've been ridiculously busy and it's a feature that usually runs Friday evenings anways.  Keep your eyes open, there's something in the works.  (And to be honest, I really didn't know if anyone even read those!)

One thing consistent with charlatan writers... they don't read the analytics either.   :o

I'd recommend the I know Jack Sh1t shirt.

Great idea, I'm superstitious too. I'll still be wearing the same underwear from that game. Still 2 days left on this pair.

...fishing.  ;D

Fishing, yes, but unfortunately not catching.  Thanks for picking up the slack, though, guys!  Great effort!

WAHOO3, check your PMs.

Looks like my schedule has been cleared enough to be able to make tomorrow's game.  While I'm still working on the logistics, I'm already looking forward to a great game--the season finally feels like it has started.

cobbernation--I agree, things are looking bleak for me.  Take a look at last year's competition, though.  I started slow but caught fire at the end.  The PBR will be mine.

Olaf can win this game.  They need to take what the defense gives them.  If that means we only gain 3-5 yards a play then I will be happy.  Those plays might be open if SJU chooses to focus on the deep plays.  If you hit enough of those short plays then one might break free for a big gain.  It will also likely be in the middle of the field to counter the speed at LB.  Get a good drive moving the ball with small plays and the safties start to creep up, and the speed of the Olaf receivers could get open.  Haberman could be the key player.  His ability to run the football and break free in the middle should open the passing game for Penz.  Olaf must keep their game vertical whether it is running or passing.  One thing that impresses me about SJU is the ability to always have multiple players around the ball.

Prediction:

31-28 for the Oles.  The kicking game is the most underrated part of the game, and Fortman is the real deal.

I'll try to pick up your slack tonight.  Last time I fished the night before a game, good things happened for me ;D
