Happy Birthday Guy Bellair and SamWill. Just talked to SamWill57sju yesterday.  :)

BDB house update: Reconstruction of the home attacked by killer trees on August 13th continues. We remain in the 1934 little cabin next door with 1 TV and 1 bathroom. No bats though, we took care of those bastards.  ;)

Since we are 1/2 moved out, and our place is going to look brand new and in prime selling condition when finished we decided to look around on the lake and see if there was something we would like to buy.

Ended up we made a way below market offer on this house not even listed to this guy in Florida that only uses it in the summer. He took the offer.

So, now we have a cabin, a house in reconstruction and a new place to close on 10/19.

Like I didn't have enough going on.  :D

Thought for the day: The number of people watching you is directly proportional to the stupidity of your action.

Hey, BDB - Looks like you've got two housewarmings to plan.  Looking forward to the parties. ;)

Happy Birthday SamWill 47...If I am not mistaken 15 years ago I gave you the best birthday present you could  have ever had....a TD vs St. Thomas.....at the bottom of the pile in the endzone I gave up my one opportunity for a TD to a sophomore ;D

After reviewing Pat's post regarding the top ten users of this site, I need to commend Fins....40 days, 6 hours and 6 minutes WOW  :o

By my math that equals 966.1 hours.  If Fins charges $250/hour (being the highly sought after legal beagel that he is) Fins has provided $241,525 worth of pro bono football counsel to those of us here.  If only d3football.com was a non-profit, Fins might be able to deduct that amount as a charitable contribution 8)

We'll never be back in the current home tmert. It won't done until the new home is bought and moved in to.

Funny thing is everyone wants us to have a party at the new place.

After 2 months of living like bums and having all these workers in our house and all the hassles of dealing with insurance, construction, moving stuff, bats etc., and while getting a 3rd and 2nd grader back in the school mode we really just want to normal again.

I have a feeling though everybody's just going to roll in uninvited for awhile.

I look at my time on this site more as the equivalent of Noah's time in the ark, saving you all from the floods of life and football and, yes Redtooth, pro bono.
It has been my pleasure. :)

Congrats BDB on the new digs!

News Item

Explanation:

A 90-year-old man was having his annual checkup. The doctor asked him how he was feeling.

"I've never been better," the old man replied. "I feel great and I've got an eighteen-year-old wife who's pregnant with my baby."

"What is your opinion about that, Doc?" the old man asked.

The doctor thought for a moment, then says, "Well, let me tell you a story."

"I know a guy who is an hunter. He never misses a season for hunting. But, one day he's in a bit of a hurry and he accidentally grabs his umbrella instead of his gun." The doctor continued, "So he's walking in the woods near a creek, and suddenly he spots a lion in some brush in front of him. He raises up his umbrella, points it at the lion and squeezes the handle. BAM !! The lion drops dead in front of him."

"That's impossible!" said the old man in disbelief. "Someone else must have shot that lion ..."

"Exactly," said the doctor.

I can start spouting enough Gustie love for three people if you want me to

"Gustie love"?  Hey, Frank - I've got the music if you can come up with the lyrics.

You ask ask and you shall receive:

Gustie Love by Captain FrankRickard featuring Willy Tennille

Gusties, Gusties, live to fight
Takin' the field and doin' it right in the PM
It's a pretty gem
Gustie Jordan, Gustie Chad
Do the post corner at the Gustie Field
And they're throwin, Chad is so knowin

And they run and they throw and they tackle
Runnin' and jumpin' unshackled
Play like the heavens above
Looks like Gustie Love

Beatin' on Johnnies
Rollin'  on Johnny G's
Chad says to Jordan
Honey, would you please be my QB
Jordan says, yes, with his passes
Now, he's catchin' his beauties
Scorin' some TD's
Helmet to Helmet
Now goes the score as they're passing
Chad starts amassing

And they ran and they threw and they tackled
Runnin' and jumpin' unshackled
Playin' like the heavens above
Looks like Gustie love
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

Fins, I suspect you are a pretty good multi-tasker so someone is getting billed for your time on this board?
