Closed Circuit to BlueDevil Bob: TDT is sporting a stylish pink Bobby Jones polo today (for reference during Devils/Panthers game)...

Something for the players to aim at?   :D

Players? More like the Ice Girls! ;) ;D

First I would like to apologize to the board for my recent inactivity.  I have realized that the banter on here is quite boring (see: squirt hockey invites) without capable antagonists.  Secondly I regret to inform all Gusties and St. Peter that I am unable to grace them with my presence at the homecoming festivities this week as work has me enjoying the beautiful weather of SEC country for the next two weeks.  Also, to Wonka and my gustie d3football posters make sure to avoid any and all johnnie koolaid regardless of how much alcohol they promise is in it ;D.

p.s.  While St. John's may currently have a superior football team, I do take pride in the fact that they still only have cold trophies and big bennies (Bennie not included) to keep them warm at night.  So I like to think like Sean Connery says "Winners go home and f*&$ the prom queen", and prom queens go to GAC ;) ;D :D!

So you're saying GAC girls are easy? ;) ;D

Shakenbake,

You don't have to make excuses.  Just admit to us that you don't want to see your Gusties get their butts handed to them this weekend.

Prom queens may got to GAC, but you can't get one. Keep dreaming, though.:P

I would love to watch the game regardless of the outcome, as GAC has a lot of players that can play with anyone (#4, #43, #80, #11(when he's on), and #25), but the honest football mind in me realizes they probably don't have the depth to upset the Koolaiders.  And Duff you would be suprised what a night at the Flame can do to a prom queens standards you might have had a shot back in the day even ;).

I like to picture my Jesus singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard with like a band of Angels behind him, and I'm in the front row HAMMERED drunk!!!

I've got a little -K for all the hockey haters.  I concur with retagent.  It is by far the best sport in person (and shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that includes football).  In fact, TDT will be at the Panthers vs. Devils game tonite.  Should be right next to the penalty box antagonizing the Sin Bin inhabitants for all my fans with the Center Ice Package.

BTW: It blows my mind that you can grow up in the State of Hockey and not appreciate the game.  Are you guys serious?  The experience at the Xcel Center is 2nd to none.

I'd rather go ice-fishing with my girls....

I also enjoy ice fishing, but it really doesn't compare to leaving the National Hockey Center with an entire mob chanting "F*&% the GOPHERS!!!".  By far the most entertaining sporting events I have been to are hockey games.  Yes even better than a playing a game at SJU.

Senior Dis night in St. Joe the entire mob was shouting "F&$# Bertuzzi! F&$# Bertuzzi!" in the street outside the La, as the hometown ice hockey team had just finished off Vancouver the night before. THAT was fun.
Nice day, huh?

Heading to the MIAC game of the week this saturday!  Carleton vs. Hamline!! Haha.  Anyone have any ideas for a good bar/restraunt for before the game? Maybe we can tailgate?

Expect a surprise from The Knights this weekend.  A very unexpected suprise.  Knights should go on a little tear to end this year.  I think they will win 4 of their last 5.  I must be nuts right?

I can definately see the knights losing 4 of their last 5.

I finally had a chance to catch up on postings and can hardly believe how little football "chatter" is out there this week.

Cobber faithful--are we going to leave it to choirs to determine bragging rights between ourselves and our sisters at St. Olaf?

Let's get it started...I know our Cobbs have had more dropped balls than a stable of geldings this season, but I believe we are due for that magical game when everything clicks. The Oles have undoubtedly their strongest team in some time and they had us for lunch last year. Still...I've got a vibe here.

Cobbers 30

The Flame does odd things to everyone.  Usually on weekends such as this there will be a good mix of townies, college kids, and alumni all in a long & narrow bar, creating great people watching and usually a fight to watch.

Duffman, you still have a shot with prom queens on Sat. night, just let them know that you know Frank and I, and hate Wonka, and it'll improve your chances.   8)
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

Flames...Queens...who would have thought that little ol' St. Peter would have bars like that? :o ;)

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

The WSUC-the Wisconsin Sucks conference? I guess SJU won't be worried about that conference. ;D

In other news, I forgot to tell ya'll who I saw at the Country Club where the wedding and reception I was at last weekend was held: Flip Saunders and his 2 blonde daughters who were very well dressed teenagers. Just think, in a few short years they'll be old enough for Wonka to legally start hitting on them!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.
