From Frank Rajkowski's blog at the SCTimes:

Another gloomy, gray and rainy day in Central Minnesota. During practice today at Clemens Stadium, the defense came indoors when rain started falling. The offense took a vote and remained outside.

OT Ben Dimond was back in practice today. Guard Jason Primus and wide receiver Chace Pollock sat out to rest various ailments. TE Brett Saladin also did not practice due to a knee injury. DE Michael Schumacher practiced early on before taking the rest of the practice off.

A couple things:

  • Looks like the O is preparing for sloppy conditions - good to see.
  • All the injuries look like "need rest" types, not "miss games" types

I find Frank's blog pretty informative and check it out most days.

Franks Blog is good reading, it would be nice if a link were available from the unofficial website of Johnnie Football.  The name escapes me but I check it almost everyday. I hope practicing in the rain is just a start,  the Johnnies need to practice on grass the whole week before the Bethel game.  I know it is a long walk to get to find some grass but any walk is worth being better prepared against the Royals.  A goal post on grass would also be a good thing.  Russel's kicking is working well whatever the surface.   Late in the season a field goal could be the difference.

JUST A FUN PHOTO THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WILD.

I see the Wild lost their first one in LA in a shootout.  :P

I hate being in the Northwest. We belong back in the Norris with the rest of the boyz. These west coast games start after my bedtime.  :-[

JD;  How severe is the injury to Saladin?

As far as those precious links on the JFC site we're just waiting for Mr. Shoes, The Rat Master, to recover from another weekend of drinking...  :'(

But just think of Saturday (and Sunday) mornings when you get to watch/listen to Football early in the morning.  I usually have to wait till 2pm to listen to the Johnnies!

I read the newspaper to waste some time while I drink my coffee. I come to PP to get my news. From Down Under no less. Thanks for the injury update. Thank goodness the Johnnies have a bye week before Bethel to get healthy (we hope). BDB, I left the game after 2, so thanks for the final. They do get a point though.

Double-edged sword. When I was up there a friend who was a TV sportscaster got his car kicked in because he was giving live MNF scores in the 6 p.m. newscast ... but then again that was at Chilkoot Charlies, which makes most MIAC-land bars look tame. (Bar's motto: We cheat the other guy and pass the savings on to you)

Has anyone seen this?  Possibly the worst case of acting since Keanu Reeves in the movie Speed.

Celtic vs. AC Milan

My favorite part is the 2 minutes of in-depth analysis on the "touch."

"He hardly touched 'im!"

JEEZZUSSS!!!!! First we have to tolerate hockey talk, now friggin SOCCER is on this board!!!!  AGHHHHHH!!!  It has to stop, I cannot take it  ??? >:(

It's the girl's birthday today, so I've been being a good boyfriend (or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof) and have been shopping and planning $#!+ for a few days.  ::)
Nice day, huh?

ROR,

I reviewed your great photos from the GAC game this morning and am wondering if you could post the photo of GAC OC- Brown (the one that shows his two wrist bands of plays and the attached play sheet at his waist)?  Just a quick glance at that photo will tell anyone why GAC had virtually no offense last week......too complex and no focus on what works.  Jerry and company eat up those sorts of offenses.

True enough, the Johnnies come on at 10:00 and usually over by 11:00 or earlier  :D , at least for the next three weeks worth of games.  Repete, as far as MNF, nothing is shown on a taped delay broadcast anymore as it was when I first got here, cable saved the day there.  Also a vote here for no soccer talk.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

ROR:
About time you got the GAC game pictures on Johnniefootball.com!  It's already Wednesday...you're losing your touch. No sleep for you on Saturday night until you've got those pictures posted!  ;)

I really like the one on page 2 of Josh Overman getting and you can see little droplets of sweat or spit suspended in mid-air.
